Kings trade rumor SZN 2023-2024 edition!

Considering length seems to be an issue of ours, I wanted to post some measurements of many of the names people have mentioned here (Kings players circled in purple for reference):

I've said this many times before, but it's pretty crazy how small Barnes standing reach is at 8'5.5". His standing reach would be considered okay for a SG but he's out there playing PF most nights.

I've suggested starting Lyles instead of Barnes to help remedy this issue, but a lot of the PFs that are being discussed here (Isaac, Siakam, Kuzma, Grant, Washington, Collins, Finney-Smith) would also help address that length weakness. Patrick Williams with a 7'2" wingspan probably also has a solid standing reach so you could probably include him as well.

Seeing Sabonis' height and wingspan, I'm sure we can all appreciate how important it is to have good length across the other positions.
Weird how HB and Keegan have similar measurements when it comes to everything other than standing reach.

Must mean HB has a really long neck.

Thank you thank you, now I don't have to go back and forth to check every prospect's height.

One thing that has given me pause with LaVine (aside from the contract, which is a bigger issue) is that he’s actually shorter than Huerter. But if he has a longer standing reach, then maybe that still helps (as would starting Lyles, assuming Barnes is going out in the deal as well).

Someone mentioned HB with a long neck… Huerter has a longer neck lol. Probably why the rest of his length is lacking

Moses Moody was the pick they missed for this group. He's longer than Barnes as an SG and his shooting ability would fit well

This explains why it feels like our players have T-Rex arms out there. We need more longbois.

Also, it's amazing that Sabonis is leading the league in rebounds despite his limitations.
I used Kris Murray’s measurements for Keegan (since Keegan didn’t measure at the combine) so I kind of cheated, but if that’s accurate, we technically don’t have 1 player in our starting lineup with a 7’0”+ wingspan

Without looking, I think we may be the only team in the league that holds that “title.” If you go get Grant and Thybulle, you’re all of a sudden looking respectable length wise.

Trey only took 4 shots in 31 minutes last night, but he totally turned the game around on the defensive end. That Fox-Monk-Keegs-Lyles-Sabonis LU looked awesome.

Also, Wiggins measurements make me think he could pass at PF but I don’t really ever recall thinking he was a PF when watching him. Maybe he doesn’t have the strength or something.

Seems like the most likely is he just re-signs in Toronto since that seems to be where he wants to be. The Siakam/Barnes/Rj/IQ fit has been pretty good so far although I’m not sure on the ceiling

Yeah, you and I still want to see Lyles as a small ball C in the second unit (which would also open minutes for Sasha that are ideally staggered to give him time with Sabonis when Domas subs back in) but a close second for me is starting Trey or at the least, giving him more of HB's minutes.

It just makes a lot of sense to insert Lyles into that starting lineup.

Perhaps they’re waiting until after the trade deadline to avoid decreasing Barnes’ trade value. If they trade him, it’s probably for an upgrade at PF anyway (meaning Lyles will still come off the bench). If they don’t trade them, maybe they will insert Lyles into the starting lineup and hope that a bench role helps take advantage of Barnes’ scoring ability.

He might be the worst offensive player in the league and we don’t have the splash brothers to make up for it dudes shooting 0.67% from 3
he basically doesn’t take them. Essentially 1 a game. Yeh you are taking a risk with very little offense from him but this was if you knew that night in night out you can get 30 from Fox 20 from Keegan and Domas and 15 from Monk. We aren’t quite there with those numbers but could be by next year if Keegan takes the next step. He might be a guy who plays 24 minutes as a defensive anchor surrounded by 4 offensive players. Don’t know for sure if it could work but Monte had interest in him before.

Those numbers though can be wrong. Barnes could be right but who knows. I watched a youtube vid where the Raptors measured Scottie Barnes and their wingspan measurement came out like 2+ inches longer than the combine. Plus with standing reach we've seen guys blow it so their vertical looks better so who knows.

Also, I don't think Keegan was actually measured was he? Those are Kris' measurements. Either way it's easy to see that Keegan has length for days. Narrow shoulders but his standing reach is right up there with some centers.

I think if we’re going defensive specialist I’d rather go with Thybull even though he’d cost more. Thybull might be a better defender and can actually start here because he’s found his shot shooting 38% from 3 on 3.8 attempts the this year and last year. Thybull has been on the all defensive team twice already so he’s legit add in Keegan and we can afford to start Huerter again as he works through his struggles. If He can find his shot we’d have a very good team come May

He’s on my list. Will be interesting to see if the Blazers move him.

If he does hold on I think he re-signs him. After letting VanVleet walk and finally pulling the trigger on OG maybe Ujiri learned his lesson. It's interesting though, both sides playing the media game now trying to save some face, lol.
seems like he either wants to be in Toronto or he wants to force a sign and trade and get the full max as part of his free agency. or he might just be smart enough to know that any team that trades for him will have to give up assets that hurts their ability for his new team to contend so going over in free agency will put the new team in the strongest spot.

Pretty plain to see most stars that forced their way out of town have wound up crippling their new teams in doing so, with a big giant asterisk for the bubble championship.

If they don’t move him I’d gladly pivot to Grant whose another good fit

Rumor has him going to Philadelphia and I believe it they have max cap, Embiid (both from the Sam country), and as important they have Nurse. I put it at 99% he’s in Philly next year
