[Game] Kings @ Clippers - 10/31 - 7:30 PT, 10:30 ET

McLemore to the bench after tonight. Forget the fact that he a lottery pick. He's awful and is holding this team back. We had a 12 point lead and a whopping 3 points and 1 rebound from our starting shooting guard.

Its obvious beli is the better player right now. But how would Mac perform off the bench though? Its a give and take.

I'm proud of our guys. We went neck to neck with one of the best teams in the league on their home court w/o our best player. Was in this game until the refs took over. Felt WCS should have been in the game at the end, but I think Karl will learn to trust him more and more . Definitely played better this time against the Clippers than last time. Clippers really benefited from all those foul calls, we were in the penalty early in 2nd and 4th quarter so they were shooting free throws all those quarters.

So he doesn't carry any of the blame?

Starting SG gets run off the court after 10 minutes leaving us scrambling to the bench the rest of the game. It's 4 on 5 on offense when he's out there.
My point is he had 3 points, 1 reb in 10 minutes. Projects out to 30 minutes of 9 and 3. That's apparently a disaster that's costing us the game. Bellinelli (who I really like for his passing) had 11,2,1 in about 30 minutes but he's a favorite on here.

How did Ben get run off the court when we had a 12 pt lead when he was in?

The backup SG is shooting 25% on the year. Worse than Ben.

Exactly how much blame do you think ought to belong to a guy who only played ten minutes?

I don't care if he played 1 minute.

He didn't show up to work today. Simple as that. This is a team sport and he didn't contribute in any way. That doesn't get a pass in my book. We get just 10 points out of our starting shooting guard and we win tonight. That's not much to ask from a top pick who was drafted as a shooter.

What's the problem? Right now, Ben is the STARTER and Beli is the backup. Why is it some huge catastrophe to swap them? My thought it that first unit can use more outside shooting and also Ben might be able to flourish a little better against the opponent's 2nd string.
McLemore's skill set isn't particularly suited to the rest of the bench unit.

This whole Ben thing is weird. Dissapointing to say the least. Logic and and common sense out the door.

Ben's actually shooting better from 3 this year but...

I really would just like to know the story on DMC. If it's an legit injury then that's worrisome. If it's a locker room issue then that's a problem too. Either way, it's not good....at all.

So exactly what IS his skill set suited for because it sure hasn't helped much of anything over the years.
He has the potential to be the best 3 and d player at SG on our team, which is exactly what we need. Whether he gets there is another issue but we're 3 games into the season and it's not like Marco is that guy. What Marco is is a terrific fit on the bench and a guy that can close games.

Bottom line, we aren't losing games because of our SG d or because Ben isn't scoring 5-6 more points/game.
