That's horrible news. Has anyone ever come back from TWO ACL injuries to the same knee?

The great fear Wednesday night was Jabari Parker, a former No. 2 overall pick, had torn the ACL in his left knee for the second time in three seasons. When Bucks coach Jason Kidd confirmed that diagnosis Thursday, pegging Parker for a full year of rehabilitation, an even greater fear crystallized: Will Milwaukee’s flirtation with life as the NBA’s Next Big Thing end before it ever truly started?

Not that I can think of. Two ACL surgeries to the same knee wiped out Michael Redd's career (also in Milwaukee). Derrick Rose had two surgeries on the same knee and came back to play at a decent (not MVP) level but they were both for a torn mensicus (his ACL surgery was on the left knee). I would think the odds aren't very good but maybe the experimental reconstruction procedure could work for him?

NBA issues memo to curtail "Twitter Wars".

Will be interesting to see how the teams social media staff adapt.

For what its worth, ours has been well regarded as the top of the game among most fans I have seen around the net.

Ha. The NBA thinks that will work? I see this as a personal challenge to all NBA fans on Twitter to step up for their teams.

The 3 rules do say Team Twitter can't say anything disparaging about INDIVIDUAL players. That means the whole team is still fair game. I'm sure our guys will remain at the top of their game, and we'll still have @carmichaeldave and others to take up the gauntlet.

Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I am glad they are clamping down on some of the social media taunting. I'm not a big fan of the taunts that I see coming from the Kings' twitter. Leave that to the players on the court and the fans. Not a fan of twitter antics.

I'm the same way, so I just stopped paying attention to their twitter. I think we are in the minority though. I don't think it does any harm and would guess twitter's demographic leans more towards people who like the jokes. I would go to the Kings twitter to see the latest news and events not the sophomoric banter. Can't say I am surprised they want them to tone it down but think teams should adjust accordingly and make a secondary "fan" account or something similar to continue on while not tainting, for lack of a better word, the primary accounts.

Embiid with torn meniscus in his knee. Please don't let this become another Yao Ming situation.
That's truly sad.

It seems like there are more and more serious injuries to the younger bigs. Could it have anything to do with the pace of today's game?

Jokic with a career high 40 points...what a steal for Denver.
Yeah he looks like he could really be something special. I mean he already is in many ways, but he has the potential to be really great. Denver and coach Malone both really lucked out with this kid. If it wasn't for him I think Malone would be in the hot seat and Denver would be one of the worst teams in the west.

So are the Nuggets trying to ruin Jokic with the Okafor trade talks? I think Okafor is really talented player, but Jokic and Nurkic can't even co-exist on the floor. What makes Denver think that Jokic and Okafor can?
Denver needs to just play Jokic at C, and find someone who fits next to him. Nuggets have a ton of assets to build around Jokic. They have Gallo, Barton, Chandler, Faried, and Nurkic who are all expendable. I don't get why they don't pair 2 of those guys together and bring back a real PG like Goran Dragic... or even a player like Austin Rivers.

just because they are in talks with him doesn't mean they will land him. There is obvious interest but what kind of assets would they give up is up in the air right now. Okafor and Jokic playing together wouldn't add up much, too slow and heavy, unless they plan on bringing in Okafor for a super sixth man, then in that case...he could be properly utilized.

Melo with two big shots in the last minute of the game versus the Spurs and afterwards asks the crowd ..."now do you want me huh? " hahaha

Jokic with a triple double in three quarters. Meanwhile, in the Thunder/Wizards game, the Thunder went 24 consecutive possessions with a missed field goal...over 10 minutes without scoring 0__0

Warriors were without Pachulia, so they got hammered inside, losing rebonding 27-52. Plus Curry went 1-11 from 3, and that's all on him as Nuggets don't have any defenders.

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/244897/Ben-Simmons-Less-Likely-To-Play-At-All-This-Season

Well, I think we can officially stop worrying about Philadelphia passing us in the standings in any case. Simmons may not play at all this season and Embiid is still out with the torn meniscus. Bad news for them, but I think they'll survive. They'll get another high lottery pick this year and potentially two high lottery picks if the Lakers don't get top 3 again.
This isn't surprising to say the least. They saw the incident with Embiid and figured, why not just tank the rest of the season and get one last high lottery selection and be done with this rebuilding, barring any further injuries to Simmons and Embiid respectively, of course.

Really good game from the Coke Machine. Then again, it was against the T-Wolves, against whom he always seems to pull a Tony Delk.
I hope he can play at this level. I wouldn't mind if D-Will got himself a really nice contract. I like seeing superteams go over caps...

Did anyone listen to the audio nightmare that was Dick Vitale and Bill Walton calling the Pacers / Cavs game?

I caught the last quarter and here were a couple of the highlights...

------

Walton after Derrick Williams takes a terrible shot: "That was one of the top four worst plays of his entire NBA career."

Pasch: "Then you haven't watched a lot of Derrick Williams."

Walton: "Never seen him before."

----

Walton got salty AF over claiming Carmelo not being a winning player, and telling Pasch he is wrong about him and only likes him because he went to Syracuse.

----

The sign off--- "Someone call the hotel and ask if the bar is open. For Dick Vitale, I'm Dave Pasch."
