George Karl is an idiot. He refused to sub out Darren Collison even when he was clearly hurting us this game by being overly aggressive. Not once did he call a timeout to run a play for Rudy Gay when he was clearly struggling. Not once did he put the ball in Rondo's hands in the fourth quarter. I just have no words to explain this level of anti-coaching. An empty chair could do a comparable job.

On an offtopic note, the Warriors are so good it's ridiculous. It's not a matter of will they win, it's now a matter of how many points will they blow out the other team by.... We are going to get thrashed when we play them again......

As bad as Rudy was, Ben was quietly terrible too. If Ben steps up at pivotal moments it is a different game.

I am pretty sure if you gave all the minutes Ben gets to Seth Curry, you'd get more production.

Karl is in a bind because he tried Anderson and he stunk. He needs Marco scoring off the bench.

Giving Ben's minutes to Seth or Darren leaves you vulnerable defensively with a small backcourt.

HOLY BLEEP...Anthony Davis carried off the floor (knee). Hate to see that.

Our best lineup statistically is:

Rondo/Ben/Rudy/Cousins/WCS

So WHY when Cousins is out does he think that Rondo/DC/Marco/Cassipi(or Gay)/Koufos is a good lineup to play for extended minutes? WHYYYYYYY? It breaks my heart. It burns my soul.

Harrison Barnes sprained his ankle so we might catch a mini-break.

It helps when almost every team in the league played directly into their hands in the offseason. You aren't going to outtrun the Warriors. but you might, just might, be able to outexecute them in a halfcourt battle. Instead every single GM in the league said hey! We should run too! Without stopping to consider if that really worked for their franchise and players.

Tonight it was Phoenix. Brilliant. Its like trying to outslug Tyson or outbox Mayweather. No you morons.

Well it's tomorrow night. And they set a record for most 3s in a half tonight as we stunk up the floor. So tomorrow should be fun.... o_O

Sorry but can't blame Karl on a night like tonight when Rudy and Ben play like they did. I pin this loss is on those two not the coach.

He called a timeout once or twice in the 4th and drew up isos for Rudy. It was horrible and he missed both times.

vlade has to be on the phone with thibs right? I mean I don't care about what the Media is gonna say but it's obvious Karl is washed up
If the Warriors thrash us tomorrow by 50 and humiliate Vivek in front of his people, maybe.

Otherwise the no-Cuz excuse HAS to carry weight given what happened last year.

Giving Rudy the ball and having everyone else clear out is not running a play to get him going, in fact it's exactly the opposite. It's putting more pressure on him to do it himself.

And Rudy got damn!!! He gets outplayed by Andrew Wiggins and Shabazz Muhammad wtf. We should trade him for for the guy in my Avi (injured or not) NO desperately needs a sf and Reke would be explosive as long as he's not on the court with rondo

It was a 6 point game when coach subbed out Ben and a 9 point game when he subbed out Rudy. That's with 5:09 left on the clock. Down by 9 with 5 minutes left is a winnable game. What did we see after that? The all Darren Collison show. Rondo stood in the corner while our bench tried to win the game on their own. That's entirely on the coach. Rondo running the offense is our game plan. It was working for three quarters (2 3/4 quarters) and then we threw it away for no reason.

Spurs being the exception. With Aldridge and West they're committed to having two bigs on the floor at all times after playing one in four out for the last few years.

Either Karl has no playbook on a big man game or DC has a blackmail for him if he does not play him lots of minutes!
Moreland should be getting minutes when DMC is down not DC. Keep playing big Karl

Your starting SG and SF are combined 4-22 FGs which included a garbage basket by Ben. I am not blaming Karl for that or the offense going through Darren on a few possessions in the 4th. The Kings held the Wolves to zero fast break points. Omri was balling. Rondo was balling. Willie and 2K had their moments. Marco was fire. Darren was decent. It is not hard to see the who the weak links were. I give credit to Wiggins for D-ing up on Rudy. I don't know who give credit for guarding Ben because no one was really guarding him and he still couldn't convert.

So Wiggins took Rudy to school?

The T-Wolves announcers called us out tonight. They said we basically only have 2-3 plays and the rest is just pushing the tempo for fast break points.
Yeah, the TWolves announcing team is pretty sharp. I switched over to the Kings broadcast once I knew Doug was on the team today, but I was really impressed with their knowledge of both teams in the first quarter. And our offense is really limited. It's side pick and rolls, dribble hand-off jumpers, or lobs into the post. That's pretty much it. And yet it was working to perfection in the first half because the spacing was great and Rondo knew where the ball needed to go and how to get it there. I don't think Darren Collison is as bad of a player as he's looked this year, he was great last year running Mike Malone's offense. But the offense we're running now does not play to his strengths and having Rondo out there as the "shooter" alongside him is a considerable handicap too.
