Talk about counting chickens...!
Probably his best streak of games ever. If he keeps it up, all of us can eat crow and rejoice!
Aside: on the one hand, I don't feel like there's any honor in beating the Warriors without Steph and Durant. On the other hand, F the Warriors for thinking they could treat this as a rest game and get a win. Go Kings!
Saw this coming the moment we drafted FM3
I think it just shows how much Joerger believes in him as a closer/facilitator when Mason/WCS pick and roll was working and Hill was also on the floor. Big time defense on a Klay shot and big rebound and clutch it's to close.
I just want to be as happy about something as Buddy and Papa were about Vince's dunk.
Haha, I noticed that too. I was laughing about it. Even graphics guys expected us to lose.
Except this time all three of our PGs are good instead of Jimmer struggling to dribble the ball up the court while IT languished at the end of the bench.
Let's pass the tip jar for his hairstylist.
Damn, coach and Hill dissing Carter for not putting it between the legs tonight before the dunk, there's just no making some people happy.
I like to think about it in terms of 3 and in terms of backcourt.
Future backcourt rotation.
I'm holding off until we see Giles, but if he's something we can use for the future you can do this for the bigs too.
Future big rotation
Or a bench trio
Bench guard, bench wing, bench big. I used these three because they seem to have a lot of chemistry and I think this would be an ideal role. Starting is just a placeholder and you can distribute minutes as you see fit.
That's a future seven man rotation right there. Just get a starting SF and hope for Giles and we should be golden.
So Hield gets 15 min 5 pts carter gets 17 min 4 pts. After buddy’s shooting on Sat night why not give him time to get in a groove?
I like it
So happy to have been at this game, first in 6 years I've lived in the bay area. Team looked good, although had a couple stretches of awful passing turnovers. Stadium sure was quiet in the 4th
WCS finally started rolling to the rim on pick and rolls instead of just standing at the top of the key. All the sudden he's scoring in the high teens efficiently instead of barely scraping 10pts on 40% shooting.
Willie used to roll with regularity only to be ignored. I understand what your saying though about being at the top of the key. It clearly wasn't the best spot for someone of Willie's play style.
Hield's challenge is defense. Coach went with guys who can play good D.
I don't care that the Warriors's were w/o Curry and Durant.
Golden State still hit 16 three's and shot 50% with the players they had, so it's still a nice 'W'.
BTW, how much do you love seeing Bogie and WCS in the pick and roll?? Bogdan is so patient with that play and Willie usually finishes.
Bogie might end up very well being the best point we've had since Bibby. Heck, he might end up being better than Mike...
Wait. We WON?!?!?!?!?!?
I was dealing with a black bear most of the evening and didn't watch the game. I am so freaking happy right now - well, except for the part of me that is not happy about a 500+ pound bear.
I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!
Now to watch the replay. I hope we win.
Your hope better turn into prayers.
Totally off topic - If anyone knows of a bear hunter who might be interested in taking down a black bear on a depredation permit, please let me know. Thank you.
Oh Omri. I still miss Omri.
And I know this is dumb, but I'm participating in the game thread as though it's not a replay. You guys are the only ones who might understand.
Yeah, we're working on that. Honest criticism is one thing. Troll-like negativity, however, is another. We've done purges around here before and if we have to do so again, we will.
I don't see a 7 man rotation yet, but I do see a very good bench.
Yep very fun game. Starters including Skal held their own in the 1st quarter. Bench came in and did wonderful. Starters did a solid job starting the 2nd half, but it was the bench that pulled us to victory, specifically Mason, WCS, and Bogdan. Hope you catch the bear soon!
I'm really enjoying this. I was mad about the number of Warriors fans cheering - until I remembered the game is at Arco West.
The sound of Warriors fans booing is music to my ears. And whomever referred to the obligatory "Klay Thompson" comment by Grant was right on the money.
Wow! This IS a good game. Sure hope the Kings can hold on in the 4th quarter. Looks like Vince Carter is over his problem.
I can't take of the smile off my face whole morning Several BIG reasons:
1. Kings beat the Warriors
2. did that in Oracle
3. Bogdan CLUTCH! So proud of him!
4. Mason can play!
5. Willie can juuuump!
There are a lot more positives , but lets say those 5 things are needed for.... one of those games!
