Joe Montana's son was arrested for DUI and there was a line in the article that read

"He recently transferred once again. This time from Notre Dame to the University of Notre Dame."

I don't get it... lol

Ahh ok.. I wanted to think of that movie "Rudy" where if I remember correctly he was going to Notre Dame but not going to Notre dame? Thought maybe there was a sister school or something which might not have been as prestigious or something.

There are probably a thousand schools, of some level or other, that are named Notre Dame in the United States, but only one of them is an NCAA Division I university.

University of Notre Dame is the well known near South Bend, the College of Notre Dame however is in Maryland and I know that one threw some people back in the day. The Junior College that Rudy went to was named Holy Cross which is not the same as the more prestigious one in Worcester, MA. Some of these Catholic colleges and universities can be darn right confusing.
