Improv Everywhere - Clever Stuff

#1
Ever heard of these guys? They're based in New York, but put on "performances" all across the country. Basically, the premise is that they go out in public and deliberately make a 'scene' (though usually not offensive), to "take people out of their everyday routines."

1. "Food Court Musical" Answers the question of "what if people actually broke into song and dance numbers in real life."

2. "Best Game Ever" They pull out all of the stops to make a little league game feel like a game in The Majors, without telling the players or their families.

3. "Frozen Grand Central" 207 members of Improv Anywhere freeze in place simultaneously...in Grand Central Station.

I used to be in a sketch comedy troupe and I now teach improv as an elective at my middle school. I often show Improv Everywhere stuff. Check out their website for more videos...the Best Buy one is a favorite of mine.

I like improv everywhere, but tell me what I'm missing with the Best Buy skit. Everytime I've watched it I just remember rolling my eyes and trying to find what's suppose to be really laugh out loud funny about it.

I'm not sure it's supposed to be laugh out loud funny. Just clever enough to be funny. To each his own, I suppose.

I also like the Abercrombie and Fitch one.

Probably right. I did laugh out loud at some of them. Like the hypnotist one or some of the comments the people made about the frozen people in grand central.
