Kings of Chemistry

Watching the Sacramento Kings beat the Dallas Mavericks Monday night in one of those wild, Western Conference run-and-gun shootouts, one could only imagine how much fun this team could be when they got everyone healthy again...

...All that came crashing to a halt with the return of Mike Bibby and Ron Artest. A minute later, Bibby replaced Beno Udrih and Artest subbed for Salmons. The rest of the night, John Salmons got three shots and the Kings got blasted – suffering their worst loss of the season.

...Especially with Artest's return, you would think that would automatically make them better on the defensive end.

Nope. It seemed to absolutely suck the life out of the other players. Does that say more about those guys, or more about Bibby and Artest?...

...Until then, I wonder how Reggie Theus did in those chemistry classes at UNLV? He will need to rely on his knowledge of the Periodic Table of Elements to make all this work...

Very nice piece, worth checking out. I especially like the following:

...He (Reggie) will need to rely on his knowledge of the Periodic Table of Elements to make all this work...
