Alexander: Is he here or is he gone?

Courtney Alexander is STILL listed on the player roster at Kings.com

Note that it says he's on the injured list AND it says the roster listing is effective Dec. 15, 2004.

Am I losing my mind? I thought he was cut a while back to avoid having to pay him for the entire year or something.

I was wondering the same when I saw the roster earlier this week. Not that it makes much difference, except for the payroll ...

Someone said they saw him at tonight's game. I have to wonder - is he going to be able to play? That would explain - at least in part - not filling the roster slot. Intriguing, at least to me...

He was waived. BUT that was probalby a way for the Kings to avoid being forced to contract him while injured. The consensus seems to be that once he is healthy the Kings are likely to reevaluate him and decide if they want/need him. I strongly suspect he will at least play on a shrot contract if he is healthy and if it works out then a remainder contract is likely.

If nothing else he could be used as trade fodder. But! he is a very talented player.
