All-Star guard Luka Doncic sat out the Dallas Mavericks' home game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday because of a left toe sprain. The Mavericks entered the game 31-16 this season with Doncic in the lineup and 6-9 without him. Dallas coach Jason Kidd said he hopes Doncic will return for the Mavericks’ next game, at home against Utah on Monday night.

The two most productive double-double machines in the NBA this season continue a budding rivalry Wednesday night when Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets visit Domantas Sabonis and the Sacramento Kings. The meeting of the league leader in double-doubles (Jokic with 52) and the NBA's second-best (Sabonis with 44) will be the third since the Kings acquired their new star big man from the Indiana Pacers on Feb. 8.

Tyler Herro had 20 for the Heat, who improved to 36-5 when scoring at least 110 points. Davion Mitchell scored 21 for Sacramento, which got 17 from Harrison Barnes.

Mitchell, who is a rookie, hopes that the Kings use these last few games to try and build momentum for more success next season. The Kings got the win despite big performances from two of Houston's young stars.

With De'Aaron Fox sidelined by injury, Kings rookie guard Davion Mitchell has made the most of his opportunity as a starter for Sacramento, with his effort on Wednesday the latest example. Mitchell paired 24 points with eight assists in the Kings' 121-118 road win over the Houston Rockets, with the second of back-to-back meetings between the teams coming on Friday. Mitchell is averaging 19.1 points and 5.9 assists in 14 starts this season.
