The 6ers lost last night. There's currently a 3-way tie for 4th seed between the Knicks, Magic, and Sixers. If the Kings had loss, we would've been part of that 4-way tie. The Sixers could ideally get the 4th pick, while the Kings get the 5th pick. Instead, now we're fighting for the 7th lotto spot with Minnesota.
Kings schedule left: Clippers, Jazz, Pelicans, T-Wolves, Mavericks, Lakers, Rockets, Suns, and Clippers.
76ers schedule left: Nets, Hawks, Cavaliers, Raptors, Nets, Bulls, Bucks, Pacers, and Knicks
Magic schedule left: Raptors, Thunder, Celtics, Nets, Cavaliers, Nets, Pacers, Bulls, and Pistons
Knicks schedule left: Pistons, Heat, Heat, Celtics, Bulls, Wizards, Grizzlies, Raptors, and 76ers
Timberwolves schedule: Pacers, Lakers, Kings, Blazers, Warriors, Blazers, Jazz, Lakers, Thunder, and Rockets
Kings have more winnable games left than any of those teams. I've bolded the Nets, but I'm not sure that I should have. They've been something like 7-8 for the month of March since Lin came back.
I think winning this game doesn't help us in the long run. It'll just result in another empty stat... our win column. This just continues to hurt our future. Last 10 years has been the same damn story.
Kings: "LOOK AT US!!! WE'RE TERRIBLE, BUT WAIT, WE'RE NOT TERRIBLE ENOUGH TO GET A TOP 3 PICK!" Kings with their half-assed rebuilding gets us nowhere. We should've traded Collison or Lawson at the deadline.
