[Game] Kings v. Hornets - 2/25/17 - 2:00PT/5:00ET

I think it depends on what the ultimate goal here is. I'd like that pick :) So, it might be better, for those who think like me, to get the youth reps

I kind of read that as part of the reason for the Cousins trade as that maybe being managements ideal for this season too, to finish in that bottom ten. But I know other fans, the coach etc may feel otherwise
It's the coach's and players duty to go out and do there best and try to get the win. It's management's responsibility if their concerned about the pick to have made sure that it was secured. That time is past. Go out and let them do their best and let the pick fall where it falls.

I am sure a lot of people are in the same position as you. I emotionally cannot root against the Kings. It cannot be done. BUT ... if we lose, it's a win also because of draft position. As an addendum, I don't think you are teaching young kids anything of value if you teach them not to try. As much as they might understand the logic, it just goes against the competitive instinct of the normal professional athlete.

Besides, although losing may seem clever, if I were a free agent, I would rather come to a team that is busting its balls then one that is deliberately losing. Maybe some people think differently. Finally, losing for draft position may get you into a draft that ends up with a huge amount of crap shootitis built into it. As an example, when we look back in time, last year's draft may have been one of the top three of the last decade and we had cruddy position.

So there. I have spoken ,,,,,, or written ,,,,, or whatever.

I'm in a win-win situation with the team the rest of the season. If they win, I'm happy that they won. If they lose, then I'm fine too because of keeping draft pick and better draft position. Can't lose haha

What also would be nice is if some of the guys came back to post :(
Why? Good riddance. Those keyboard GMs (or Cousins groupies) can go relentlessly argue with Pelicans fans how AD was more at fault that Cousins during losses. This is our team, dysfunctional management and all. And early signs are this unleashed a massive step forward for our youth development which has been our biggest problem this last decade which I'd happily take for Cousins.

I disagree. Dissenting views are good for a community. Too much group think can get stale quick. My hope would be that the team starts seeing success and the Team starts drawing them back again. I'm just guessing but I would say the majority of those who said they were leaving were Kings fans before Demarcus ever came.

A lot of that is true, but on Grants interview with Vlade on KHTK several days back he said he was going to make it a point that he wants the young guys to get some minutes. So the GM can make suggestions to the coach beyond just overhauling the roster

I didn't think Papa looked terrible in limited minutes against the Warriors a few games ago but we will see how it goes

I remember hearing that BUT was it a "point" or was it more along the lines of suggestion or that he was going to talk to him about it. I don't remember the exact wording. I do remember cringing when hearing it because in general I don't want my GM telling my coach how to coach.

Because the last time a Kings GM tried to tell his coach what style to play went so well.

I am now a fan of two teams (Kings still #1) and almost gave up Kings fandom. I have been a fan since the later part of Mitch Richmond's Kings run. The Boogie trade was nearly death by 1000 paper cuts for me. A series of bone headed moves, bad coaches, players, terrible trades and draft picks. However, I'm still holding on.

I'm expecting this team to fail, but I'm not rooting for them to fail.

Hopefully we get treated to another fun W tonight!

Another double double from WCS would be sweet too. For better or worse, Trill and the other young guns are the future now. I wanna see em do good, win or lose.

I'm gonna have to say Koufos needs to come off the bench once and for all.

Cousins or no cousins. Koufos isn't a starter. It's a proven fact his whole career. he doesn't even match up well in this game.

Great back up big. That's all he is... that's all he will ever be...
