[Game] Trailblazers @ Kings - 3 p.m. - 4/15/12

Reke/T-Will will pretty much stop a lot of guards especially if both especially Reke can improve their jumpers. The Shot Doc did say Reke is going to be a different player next season.
Absolutely, and we would have no mismatch on defense. Well, we would create mismatches against opposite PGs. I don't understand, it looks so obvious to me. T-Will is the only player we have who first looks for a pass instead of a shot. He is a great passer, he sees the floor and he finds his teammates. Right now we don't even feed Cuz in the post anymore.

You're not going to solve the rebounding or defensive problem until going with something besides the smallest 3 guard lineup in the league. Can't stop anyone.

Still don't understand the IT hate here. He runs the team and the offense. He's actually good at fighting through screens on defense and puts effort out on D. There are certain problems with size, but the team has bigger guys who are far worse at D.

I think George doesn't know what he is talking about. I won't take up time on what I hope is a pro Kings thread but he has said a couple things the last few days that indicate he doesn't know the facts of the situation. I'm going to enjoy the game but I think all their fuss is simply to sell the team. Yeah, I know. I'll get back to this subject after the game. I just got home from my son's wedding so am not caught up at all. I'm also in a good mood and am not going to speculate too far.
Congrats to you son and yourself Gary! That's great man, I just tied th knot with mine last June, although I fear she might leave me for Isiah. Man I have missed these game threads.

The problem is, that IT is doing too much. He is a great player, a great story, I love what he does for this team and the energy he puts when he's on the floor. But, he shouldn't be the guy doing all that stuff, taking all those shots. Do we really want to be led by a 5'9 PG?
I understand the excitement about IT, but he should have a "Nate Robinson" role. Game changer from the bench, 15/20 minutes per game. Right now he has 13 shots and 2 assists. We don't need our PG to have these numbers. Reke, MT and Cousins should take the majority of the shots. Put a PG like Andre Miller in this team, and I'm sure we would be immediately much better.

BTW: can anyone tell our players that Matthews is a pretty good shooter, especially if we leave him completely open all the time?

Are you sure he runs the offense?!?
Yes. They just executed a few set plays in a row initiated by IT moving the ball to the right spot and making the right pass. He also pushes the ball and then knows when to back out.

I agree in that I'd rather him be a 6th man guy, but the closest the team has to a guy who can also run the team is TWill and he's pretty fresh to the team and offense.

Shut up with the IT crap!

How many times have they mentioned his name?
Dude...really?

Isaiah is playing hard. I don't see the problem. At least they're not waxing poetic about somebody on the other team. IT is a good player who gives it all every single night. Is he the long-term solution to the PG situation? Most likely not, but I just don't understand the uber-criticism directed towards him. He's one of the few bright spots right now.

Yes, really.

Positively.

Yes, here I agree with you. We have nothing else at the moment, but we better find someone for the future. In my opinion, a good PG for this team has to make his teammates better. That's his goal. After that, much better if he's able to score when he is open and to play decent defense. IT is not this kind of player. Like I said, I'm not hating him. I really like him. But I just want the Kings to be a good team in the future, and I'm not sure they can be one with IT starting at PG.

Is it just me or does Grant sound unusually reserved and somewhat sheepish? Sounds like on an inner level he knows he's forces to represent scumbags and doesn't really like it, so trying to not be so typically over the top???

Has there been any mention or talk of the total ****storm that's going on right now with the clown owners?

No chance. It'd be like bashing Dan Snyder on 980 AM: it's their station.
