Fox in the last 2 minutes there were 2-3 offenses that he was sitting in the corner. Luka and Kyrie won this for Mavs, our non all stars were bad in crunch time.
Barnes had a nice 1st half (with 14 attempts) then goes missing in the second, wasted 2 attacks in crunch time and then missed the 3 pointer, made the mistake at the end afterwards.
Dallas will finish at least 6th if they are healthy down the line, we will fight the Suns for the 7th if Lakers don't go crazy. It seems impossible to get the 6th. The tierbreaker now is the point differential h2h?
Tiebreaker is conference record. They have more in-conference games left on the schedule if I’m not mistaken

That’s tough to take. Shades of the Suns game with all the turnovers and bonkers shooting from the opposition to end the quarter.

Probably need to go 7-2 to get the 6th seed which is near impossible.

I guess all we can do is try to finish strong and do what we can in the playin

We are not getting the 6th seed. Stop dreaming.
Definitely not happening. Now we got to hope we at least get the 7th or 8th. Let’s say the standings are as they are at this point, we play the Suns at their place. If we lose that, then we play the Warriors or Lakers at home. Yep, let’s just put ourselves through the gauntlet of hall of famers

Kings played the second half completely differently than the first. It wasn't all Mavs' adjustments and the refs. Then, of course, ya gotta take care of the ball and hit open shots.
Did they though? Maybe in some ways, but the difference was Barnes didn't dominate like he did in the first half. Shots didn't go in, Domas kind of got squashed and the refs gave him no favors again. The difference was the clear and apparent talent difference. They have two players that can get you 30 and there's nothing you can do about it. Barnes was the gap filler in the first half. He faded, and Fox and Domas didn't take over as a result. It is what it is. The good news is with Keon and Keegan as your 3 and D guys, if Monte can land another legit scorer at SF this might be a finished product.

Hall of Famer
It’s been a blessing being dissociated from this team. Do I thank the Warriors for breaking me so I don’t really care? I mean, I’ll care again. I just knew this team as built wasn’t going to be any better at all.

Don’t particularly love our remaining schedule. Not completely confident the play-in is a lock.
This is the scary thing with the Rox ripping it right now. lol. Crazy West. I think the Kings will have a hard time not at least making the play in and if still think if they can catch the Dubs and beat them then the confidence will soar.

Yeah, Dallas had the two best players on the floor, evident in the fourth quarter.

The goal is now to remain in the 7th or 8th seed. At least the lakers and Suns loss too. I don't know if they will be the 6th seed, but I'm pretty optimistic they will at least be at minimum the 8th seed.

Defense continues to be solid, but they completely took their foot off the petal offensively in the second half. Way too many possessions where we just dribbled waiting and waiting before getting into any action with less than 10 seconds. Without unexpected great shooting by the bench this would have been a total collapse. The current mavs roster after the deadline is clearly a superior team right now.

Kings 25/60 2p FG (HB 7/15,Fox 6/15)
Mavs 20/39 2p FG

Again we weren't moving the ball much in 2nd half, apart from the steals that led to fast breaks, our offense was bad. We got some 3s on the way when moving but Fox and Domas wasted a lot time handling the ball for no reason that led to bad shots before shot clock expired.
In the same time Dallas hit how many 3s at the end of 24"? Kleber twice and Luka once are the ones I recall.

Been saying it all season this team is mentally weak. No killer instinct and lose of concentration issues.
Is it mentally weak, or is it just simply that the Kings don't have a enough true "killers"? The Kings don't have a 2nd guy that can pretty much pick their shots. The Mavs have two. One's a legit MVP level talent and the other isn't far behind. Monte has work to do.

It's like people are acting like we just missed the playoffs. We still have 2 chances to make it in elimination games if we don't make the 6th seed We'll be fine.

Seeing Monk went down early in this one as well.

Our depth getting sapped is... man. Monk/Huerter/Lyles are 3 of our top 7 players and Sasha probably slots somewhere around 10th on our depth chart. It's hard to absorb that for such an extended period of time.

I still don't get how Luka/Kyrie get 20 FTA and Fox/Domas get 6 FTA. You just can't tell me they aren't getting fouled THAT much less than the other 2 stars on the other side.
