This is probably a loss as we just aren't as composed as the Spurs but this game is extremely encouraging. I feel like we can hang with anybody.
I do agree that it is encouraging, in the abstract. It would feel a lot more like a moral victory, if we didn't blow a double-digit lead.

You're losing credibility with statements like that.
How so? We had the chance to trade Mclemore for Carter-Williams straight up, or three way deal for Snell or probably for a secound round pick (my favorite option by the way). If you manage to turn him into a pick you also get another roster spot that would allowed us to keep Farmar. But instead we can watch Mclemore in his 4th year still unable to dribble or hold onto a basketball.

But we also watched Ben explode for ten points in the second quarter. Sure he sucked in the third but he was being smother by the best defender in the league

Without so many words, you said Ben is worse than Farmar.

We are playing arguably the best team in the league. He got the ball stolen by the league's best defender. And we are still hanging around unlike the Warriors.

That's a fair point. If his jumper is falling he at least isn't useless. Lets see if he can sustain such a performance this time or if his confidence is shut again. Im just tired of him apparently being a star during the offseason so that every coach falls in love with him and then turning into a pumpkin when it counts.

I'm okay with a loss, and being 1-1......I mean, who actually expected us to beat the Spurs??? I knew right away that the Spurs would start playing hard in the 3rd quarter.......We've seen it time and time again.......I get sick of them winning.......But then again, Spurs did what they were expected to do......I talked to many kings fans today and not one of them thought that we would be able to beat the Spurs. With that said, I am encouraged by the better playing......I still think we can win 40 games this year. We just need a bit more time under Dave............

The result was expected, I do appreciate the defensive effort though. That said, my god it's difficult watching this team on offense at times, Gay going into full chucking mode and no one else being able to score besides Boogie. Kawhi just did what he wanted, got to his spots and annihilated.
