Be nice if an undrafted player turned into a rotation guy for the Kings.
We've got so many late round reaches and foreign stashes now we hardly need the undrafted guy miracle. By my count we have at least:

Bogdanovic
Skal
Big Papa
Isaiah Cousins
Arturas Gudiatis
Alex Oriakhi
Luka Mitrovic

+ possibly associated/attached

Eric Moreland
Seth Curry

we could practically field an entire summer league team with them. Although its possible we are done with Moreland now, and I don't think Oriakhi or Mitrovic are blue chippers.

If any two of the remaining names become full rotation players then all the digging around with late picks and formerly unsigned guys would be worth it.

Personally, I don't care where the players come from, as long as they can play. Nice to have a pool of players being developed

Has the trade with Charlotte been rescinded or something? Because Malachi Richardson is another guy that may turn into an NBA Player.

True, forgot him.

Like I say, quietly we've been stacking these guys up:

Bogdanovic
Skal
Big Papa
Isaiah Cousins
Arturas Gudiatis
Alex Oriakhi
Luka Mitrovic
Malachi Richardson

+ possibly associated/attached

Eric Moreland
Seth Curry

Now the NBA isn't other sports. Stacking up marginal "prospects" can be completely worthless. Its why Ainge has been trying to package bunches of picks to get one proven guy. But we really don't know Vlade's scouting acumen yet. If he's got an eye and a few of these guys pan out then we can concentrate our other resources on a the top end of the roster.

A lot of those players play multiple positions. All hail positionless basketball! I have no clue what the lineups will look like.

I kind of wish WCS wasn't in the SL this year. I think he had a good rookie year, and it's better suited for our other bigs.

At PF/C we have: Papagiannis, Skal, Mitrovic, Guaditis, and Uthoff. I'd honestly just let them play it out. That's an exciting core with a lot of potential. Mitrovic is going to surprise some people. He's a NBA caliber player.

Well if you post the Draftexpress strengths video atleast couple that with his weaknesses video:

I don't like him as a player right now, but we'll see how he'll do in summer league.

Mitrovic runs the floor , handles the ball, passes on the run, shoots threes.....

Realistically I don't think Gudaitis is big enough to be an NBA center. That size remains a concern for me until I see him over here. The skill set is really impressive. But I want to see what he looks like standing next to WCS.

He's plenty quick enough to be a PF though, and has that inside/outside skillset. But if he's a short 6'9" for instance I don't know if the shotblocking or post game is going to translate as well as the facing game and jumpers. Still will remain one of the guys I'm primarily interested in this summer.

They list Mitrovic as a 6'9" PF BTW, although realistically he may be more of an Omri SF over here.

Wait so this Gudaitis and Mitrovic are coming over for summerleague? When was that announced?
Nothing has been announced. Just speculation so far.

Guaditis: http://www.15min.lt/24sek/naujiena/...zkele-vietoj-rinktines-i-nba-kluba-873-643173

Google translates says the Kings really like him and wants him to join the summer league. He's interested. There's been things flying over the past 6 months or so that he would be joining the Kings in SL. There's only 1 source to Guaditis, but I think it's a 90% chance he plays in SL..barring his injury causing a problem or Rio.

Mitrovic: http://rs.n1info.com/a170506/Sport-Klub/Kosarka/Luka-Mitrovic-na-Letnjoj-ligi-u-Sakramentu.html
There's more confirming sources saying that he will join the Kings.

and this also!

He seems a bit slow footed to keep up with all these athletic PFs we're seeing now. I'm really excited to see what he'll show in SL. That's kind of why I hope WCS doesn't get a lot of minutes. I personally think WCS deserves SL off for his good rookie year.

I put Mitrovic at SF because I think that's where he's going to get his minutes. We have a long jam with our bigs. I think he'll be able to play either position in the NBA.

Could you see them realistically joining our roster this year?

Zach Randolph and Dirk play PF. Not worried about Gudaitis quicknesswise. Looks maybe Psycho T-ish in quickness and hustle. Unfortunately I would not be surprised if that's all the size he has too, although much more skilled.

I have no idea on anybody joining, BUT if Vlade were to be taken at his word that our frontcourt was complete after he took a couple more gambles in the draft, then I would think that would mean Cuz/WCS/Kosta + 2 unproven kids. Maybe whoever shows best in summer league.

No idea of these guys' contract situation though.

Retin Obasohan is a hard nosed do what needs to be done player. Took a step farther into that role under Avery Johnson last year. He is quick, can handle goes inside and out.

I'm all for giving Gudaitis and Mitrovic a shot but at some point enough is enough as far as young bigs go. Do these guys have an honest shot at making the league? Also I think Acy deserves a spot back on the roster, should be able to keep him on the cheap and I think he has developed roots in Sactown.

I think he shoots about 15% from 3.
no. This year in 25 games(before injury), he shot the 3 ball at 38.9% and 71% from FT.

Last year he struggled shooting the ball in the Euroleague(24 games) at only 17.5%.
However, in Liga ABA(33 games), he shot 34.1% and in KLS(18 games), he shot 34.4%.
79.9% FT overall.

He's an improved shooter with a nice stroke.

I believe they're NBA caliber. Mitrovic could be a rotational stretch 4, or SF/PF. Similar to the role of Omri. Gudaitis could probably take on a Cole Aldrich role. Mitrovic is very good. He's a good leader and good overall player. Only question is how he translates his game into the NBA. He's probably the best player on his team.

The only hard part would be convincing him(Mitrovic) to come over. He's the leader of his team and was unfortunately out for the year after some games. I think he loves his role over there.

Good that's promising. I didn't think his stroke looked like a 17%ers stroke but you never know with those highlight videos.
