It's all about the attention he draws. That's the real value of superstars. They of course put up monster numbers, but there sheer presence on the floor makes everything much easier for everyone else. Night and day Difference.
I think Cousins is more Dirk then some of us realize. I'd much rather him taking 3s here and there within the flow of the game, instead of overforcing the issue inside and having one of his trademark 8 turnover games

Carlisle obviously threw the towel in early for this when he yanked Dirk. No sane coach would do this otherwise.
Dirk was bricking threes and looked fatigued. Probably was more of a necessary move (because the team would still defer to him) to try to get somebody to score out there.

Cousin's just chews teams up. There won't be many times where we lose a big lead late. With Cousins playing of course. I'm still excited to see what our team can do against the Warriors.. with Dcuz in of course.

To be honest we will probably see Cousins on the perimeter a lot because he can't bully his way past Bogut

Carlisle really don't like Rondo and trolled him. LOL
And that 5 guard line-up would make Karl cry in his sleep because Rick had the confidence to deploy that humiliation.

Good win! Stay fit big fella.

Cuz is a monster. Please don't run him into the ground Karl. I'm even down with him taking 3s. Just no more driving from the perimeter!

Though I'm glad for the win, Dallas missed ALOT of open looks. The defense didn't play as well as the stats say. They are getting killed on the switches and certain players get lost on the switches. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, lol.

Actually, Cousins has probably the most nimble feet of any C in the NBA that carries above 250 lbs of weight.
He can drive over any big man in the league. So letting him start from the perimeter can actually be effective as well.

I think we should give Cousins a little more rope with his 3. It was pretty cool when he was hitting at 50% though. I hope sooner rather than later he knocks some down.

I feel like you get the most out of WCS when you play him alongside Cousins

He can't really be that anchor in the middle, but he can be a guy who can disrupt offensive motion, switch, cover multiple positions, and provide weakside blocking

As much as he is a 7 footer, he defends best like a small forward/power forward tweener type

He can do that on defense with Cousins there, then play the center on offense while Cuz plays the 4

I also feel like it's a defensive win when WCS switches onto a guard and it stops their whole motion and they try to isolate on him... Hasn't happened too much but when it does WCS has been lock down

No rope in Mexico City though. Elevation is 7,382 feet or 2,000 more feet than mile high Denver! Besides all the huffing and puffing at that extreme altitude, basketball, any ball will travel long way more than short in that very thin air. Minimize jacking 3s against Boston IMO.
