At least Ray has the excuse of being a 2nd year player who has barely played in his career. Sessions has played for years and with greats (Kobe) and literally sucked the life out of the team tonight. We couldn't do anything because he has an extremely difficult time just dribbling/hanging on to the ball with hardly any pressure. If he got double teamed forget it, might as well hand them the ball. Ray at least tries. I can take sucking with effort. Sessions as a vet should set an example, but all he is setting is career highs in TOs.
FWIW, I couldn't stand Sessions that one year he was on the Lakers. I felt his lack of outside shooting was a huge hindrance in their playoff series that year (which will of course be good news to most people here). I just can't understand how he's losing the ball so much on all his drives and whatnot.

Are you really implying that if you were the coach, you'd play Sessions more than RayMac? o_O
He's just implying that McCallum was garbage too, so there were no good options. No options at all.

And if I were the GM I'd be severely tempted to give Sessions a Thanksgiving gift but waiving him so he could have more time with his family. he's been so awful there have to be dozens of free agent nobodies who could join the team and at least not HURT you.

Yeah, it's surprising because the dribble-drive was essentially his bread and butter throughout the entirety of his career up until he put on a Kings jersey.

We are 9-6 now, 15 games in and he has largely sucked in every single one. Something has to give. Either he picks his play up or he gets benched/traded. I didn't even feel this way about Ben last season when he sucked in epic fashion. Just very disappointing for a guy who was signed with the intention of leading the bench and potential 6th man of the year.

Yeah I agree, whats frustrating is he does have that shot but only uses every 3-4 games, him taking jumpers and dribble drives against Dorsey and Black is bad basketball.
Forced because that was all he could get against Dorsey or Black themselves. Whenever he went to the post he was going against Dorsey or Black, Montejunas, Harden, two trainers and probably some of the dance team. That was truly the Shaq treatment he was getting. Sign of immense respect actually. Or just fear when your starting frontcourt is down and Cousins comes to town.

Maybe it's just the curse of the Sacramento Kings backup PG position - you get butter fingers and can't handle the ball. Happened to Jimmer, happened to Ramon. Explains why IT wanted to be a starter so badly. Ghost of Jason Williams putting oil on the PG's hands.

Ramone Sessions is a Steaming Pile of MANURE. Kings MUST have a backup PG. Sessions has PROVEN he is either unable or unwilling to play at an NBA level anymore. F I V E turnovers and HORRIBLE Defense. Sessions man Cannon KILLED the Kings. They went at Sessions every chance they got for easy buckets. Malone can not AFFORD to continue to play Sessions anymore. He got his chance. They could pick someone off the waiver wire, bring someone up from the CBA, or just play 4 on 5 and play better than when Sessions is on the floor. He is total GARBAGE. Back to back game short handed on the road was going to be difficult anyway. But when your point guard is playing that poorly you have no chance. They took the ball away from him, he gave it away, he shot horrible turnovers, and he was just the worst player on the court.

Problem is that McCallum wasnt much better tonight. He had a rough game himself. The Rockets gameplan was to double CuZ and pressure Sessions. It worked all too well. If Sessions cant even bring the ball into the front court he is worthless. We really missed Collison tonight. But it is only one game. They will get a day off to rest and they will play better against the Spurs. Hopefully Collison will be back. This highlights and underlines the desperate need we have for an NBA caliber Point guard as a backup to Collison.

More than likely the ghost of Jason Hart

It's really damn frustrating when guys are doing just incredibly boneheaded plays. 2:30 to go and down six and scratching a little momentum with the Ben dunk from a great Cuz pass... JT and Sessions combine to donate 4 points to them.
That just drove me nuts. Anything JT does well, he does something mind numbingly stupid to really compound problems. now he's competing with Sessions to see who will make me stroke out first

We need to try and get one of those cheap set 3 point shooting guys. Like literally a Matt Bonner/ Babbitt/ Steve Novak type that don't use their legs at all. Of course a two way player would be nicer, but I'm willing to settle. Is Jason Kapono still in the league?

I disagree. I think McLemore played exceptional D on Harden, but on offense, he missed AT LEAST 5 wide open 3s... he has to make those.
Yeah but the fact he limited there best player and played him somewhat even negates the fact he missed those 3's, we didn't lose cause Mclemore missed 3's we lost cause of Sessions really his inability to ddribble and having Cannon light his ass up. How serious is Collison's injury?

I imagine your posts being read in Anthony DeMartino's voice.

The real Rockets MVP tonight is Ramon Sessions. Responsible for at least 5-10 extra possessions and about 5-10 wide open shots... for the other team.
I would guess this is actually close to true, and it's more than just TO's. You gotta count completely boneheaded shots or plays that result in a change of possession without an actual turnover.

Tonight was uuuuuggly.

I have never hated a player more in my life than Sessions (I can't beleive I thought he was good), also add to that, that D-Mo schooled the living crap out of Cousins and JT and you got yourself a embarrassing performance. Cousins trying to do way to much him and Sessions just turning the ball over at a insane rate that game. WTF serious to get beat by Cannon and D-Mo are you kidding me. We struggle to beat average teams I can't understand why, I'm actually worried that we are playing 11 of the next 14 against sub 500.

Ben did great on Harden and Casspi contained Ariza and we get beat by scrubs cause we played dumb and didn't hustle.
John Salmons?

Time to bring back Jimmer?

first wiggins and now canaan everyone whose young and wants a career night come on down...
Well, in Wiggins's case, he's been projected to be a future MVP candidate top-10 player in the league so it wasn't wholly unexpected that he'd eventually have a good scoring night. Isaiah Canaan, however, shot the three like the ghosts of Eddie House AND Mike Bibby were possessing him.

Such as when we got it down to a 2pt game and Sessions decides to pull up for an Isaiah Thomas like transition jumper which is a freakin AIR BALL

The biggest problem with Sessions aren't his TOs, it's how many possessions were thrown away because he didn't set the offense up, didn't space the floor, made poorly timed passes to guys where they can't do much with the ball and his inability to get Cuz the ball in good spots on the floor.

Sure, 5 TOs and some real sloppy ballhandling, but the killer was the 20-30 possessions where our team was going at it as basically four guys with an anchor strapped around their ankles. Our sets were handicapped all night as Sessions threw off the tempo all night.

It's not just about the stats (which are ugly too), but just the overall play. Sessions couldn't guard a cotton ball that was superglued to the court tonight and he had huge huge problems initiating the offense, passing, and dribbling. Many many times they almost had a steal and/or lost it out of bounds or Sessions managed to recover it. All that stuff counts. If the offense wasn't bad enough, his defense was even worse. He welcomes all opposing PGs with a red velvet carpet and drinks. Just utterly ridiculous.
