I live in the Bay Area and has been a Kings fan since the glory days (J.Will / C.Webb era). Me and my 7yo son attended Dell and Steph Curry Father and Son basketball camp back in 2014 (before they won the Championship) thinking it would be a great experience for my son to meet an NBA player. Steph is actually the first NBA player I met face to face and lucky enough to shake his hand. Looking at him I thought to myself how can this guy be an NBA player, he just looks like one of those regular guys you normally play at local pick-up basketball game..lol. After he signed some autographs for the kids and proceeded to leave the building, my son approached me if he could have one more item signed, his diary notebook. I looked and saw Curry being escorted by group of security guys out of the building and told my son sorry and that it's too late. After seeing my son's sad face, I immediately grabbed his hand and ran after Steph and at least try. The security waved us off but Curry smiled and told them it's ok and went ahead and signed my son's diary. I was shocked and after that day I told myself how can someone not be a fan of Steph Curry. The guy is down to earth, loves his family, and is a good role model for kids like my son. The guy was overlooked, no one thought he'd be an NBA player and has proven everyone by elevating his game and working hard. I've started to follow the Warriors since and hoping for them to win their 2nd title.
Don't really get the OP's title saying everyone hates the Warriors...Also, I don't think the Warriors are ruining the game, they've changed and evolved the game just like the Kings would have done had they won the championship back in 2001. What's ruining the game are guys that flop, flail their hands and snap their head back driving to the basket to earn a free trip to the line. Lol.
