It's a VERY good thing! You really ought to see if you can get the Firefly DVD set to watch, I honestly think it was the best Sci Fi series ever! but with only 16 episodes there was not much time to deterorate.

Unfortunately, the show only lasted one season in 2001 on FOX. Then, like so many good shows these days, it recieved new life and new viewership on DVD and reruns on SciFi channel. Fans have been clammouring for them to start the series back up again, but so far all they've done is make a movie ("Serenity") which kind of wraps up the storylines a bit.
