Well, with the season nearly upon us, it seemed like a good idea to start the last one of these threads even though the SGs poll is still active. So far we've had the big men ranked in the #4-#8 range, the PGs ranked about #10, and the SGs...let's just be generous and say that so far the consensus is that maybe they are #14...or so. :p Given that the team as a whole would have to be about #8 in order to make the playoffs, not encouraging.

Here are the threads for the other Where do the Kings ranks:
C/PFs: http://kingsfans.com/threads/where-does-the-kings-c-pf-combo-rank-in-the-west.57963/
PGs: http://kingsfans.com/threads/where-do-the-kings-pgs-rank-in-the-west.57990/
SGs: http://kingsfans.com/threads/where-do-the-kings-sgs-rank-in-the-west.58029/

Now the question becomes: Assuming that Rudy Gay/Omri Casspi/Derrick Williams remain the SF trio, where do the Kings SFs rank amongst teams in the West?

POR: Batum/Wright
SAC: Gay/Casspi/Williams
GSW: Igoudala/Barnes
LAL: Johnson?/Henry?
LAC: Barnes/Turkoglu?
PHX: Tucker/Morris?
UTH: Hayward/Novak?
DEN: Gallinari/Chandler
OKC: Durant/Jones
SAN: Leonard/Daye
HOU: Ariza/Garcia
DAL: Parsons/Jefferson/Crowder
NOH: Tyreke?/Salmons?
MEM: Prince/Carter
MIN: Wiggins/Brewer/Muhammed

We are above Minnesota, Clippers, Memphis, NOH (based on the fact they have no SF), Suns and the Lakers. While Rudy Gay is more talented than the likes of Gallo/Hayward/Ariza/Lenoard/Parsons/Batum these guys help you win and are high IQ players who play defense who I would much rather have.

Therefore we are somewhere around 7-9

I say in the top 5 just purely based on Gay alone...the others leave a lot to be desired but Omri can make it better if he plays respectable this season.

REALLY hard to say considering we have no idea what Gay is going to look like this season. His preseason hasn't been very encouraging.

Top-5 potential, certainly. But if he is Toronto Rudy Gay? Well, thats not good.

IMO, Rudy has the potential to kick us a little higher than these, but as the season starts, our SF rotation are behind these for sure. Batum, Iggy, Durant, Parsons and Kawhi are top 5 in mind, in no order.

Hayward could make a jump this year. Danilo, if he is healthy, could make a jump as well. And of course, the wild card is Wiggins in Minny. He could be potentially a Top 5-10 player but may also fall below average. The Rockets are also a team that have a great fit in Ariza. They are potentially top 10 or higher.

So with that, Rudy, Omri and Dwill sit at about 7-10.

I place OKC and GSW ahead of us. Durant is the top SF in the west and Barnes is much better than our reserve SF's. Gay is the 2nd best SF in the west.
