Real Madrid wants to join the NBA.

This would mean amazing things globally for the NBA. I think scheduling could easily be worked out. The Kings always have 2-3 weeks of Eastern Conf. Road games. In the middle of it, just plant in a game to Madrid. It's less than a 7hr flight from NY.

The NBA needs to capitalize on this opportunity. Unlike the NFL, basketball has no problem growing quickly outside of the US.

I think this idea is not really realistic, that's why there are the pre-season NBA games which includes some European teams.
