What a terrific idea for a reality TV game show. The hilarity of watching armchair quarterbacks compete against has-been athletes, the smack talk between the overconfident but highly athletic contestants and the burnt out but still proud athletes.
I don't know, I guess I just like seeing people with overweening egos (the contestants) brought down to earth and embarrassed. I think most sports fans have a part of them that wants to be right there in the action, that believes that they could be playing if they'd just chosen a different path in life. This show explores that fantasy, and stomps it into the ground, kicks sand in its face, and walks away. That's great TV.
