DeMarcus Cousins: 6gms 23.5min 18.2pts (.638 .593) 7.7reb 2.3ast 1.5stl 1.5blk 5.5TO 3.3FL

Look, at the start of the preseason he wasn't even coming out focused in the early going of each game, then would just casually take over and munch the opposition in the 3rd and call it a night. Then he finally cranked it up for the last couple of games and just munched the opposition all game long. Per 36 those numbers above are: 27.9pts 11.8reb 3.5ast 2.3stl 2.3blk on 63.8% shooting. Hello Hakeem. The TOs though will be a thing to watch. Malone wants him to average 5 ast/gm, and we are running some old school Princeton offense looking sets with him up top hitting cutters underneath ala Webber. But there hasn't been enough help, and he's having to do too much. Not as much as the obscene TO numbers would indicate though. Half of those were in the early games when he was still on vacation and just farting around. 5 more came when the referees in San Antonio called him for FIVE offensive fouls. Still something to watch, along with how the refs treat him this season. Otherwise he looks set to do his part and really have an epic season.

That's 16.8rebs per 36 BTW. Old man river, apparently going to go to his grave able to gobble boards. Don't agree with calling him a center, that's on Malone, not me. He obviously can't protect the rim, and as Cuz's backup we seem rather ridiculously set on running some of Cuz's stuff for him, trying to make him into an offense player, which he is not. What he is is maybe the league's best rebounder and the only one of our PFs who has been productive in any way this preseason.

Gm1 - 21min 4pts (1-1FG 2-4FT) 13reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 3TO
Gm2- 22min 6pts (2-5FG 2-2FT) 6reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 3TO

Gm5- 26min 2pts (1-2FG 0-2FT) 16reb 1ast 1stl 0blk 2TO
Gm6- 12min 0pts (0-2FG 0-0FT) 1reb 0ast 2stl 1blk 2TO
Gm7- 23min 0pts (0-6FG 0-0FT) 16reb 3ast 0stl 0blk 1TO

Ryan Hollins: 5gms 8.8min 2.6pts (.750 .250) 2.8reb 0.0ast 0.6stl 1.2blk 0.6TO 1.4FL

has never been a very good player in this league, and was only statistically significant in 1 preseason game (a common pattern amongst our guys in preseason). But he felt surprisingly solid during his stints, holding a defensive line and feeling like a vet who knew what he was about that we could rely on for spells.

Gm1 - 5min 2pts (1-1FG 0-0FT) 0reb 0ast 0stl 1blk 0TO
Gm2- 17min 0pts (0-2FG 0-0FT) 2reb 0ast 2stl 0blk 1TO

Gm4- 5min 3pts (1-1FG 1-2FT) 2reb 0ast 0stl 2blk 0TO
Gm5- 4min 0pts (0-0FG 0-2FT) 2reb 0ast 1stl 1blk 0TO

I pretty much agree with Brick. Cousins is in fine form if he can manage the fouls (Refs?). Evans should not be playing Center. If Malone insists on playing two PF's let one of them be the rookie Moreland who can at least play goalie.

I think its safe to say we have no Legitimate NBA Caliber Backup Center. Praying for good health for Boogie because he's gonna have to work hard all season.
