I believe that Sunday's game against the Lakers is on ESPN.

MOD NOTE: ESPN is carrying the game, starting at 6 PM PT.

Lonzo Ball currently has a sore ankle.

I know you're basically implying that Lonzo is ducking Fox but it's a legitimate injury that has been bugging him for quite a while now.

Lonzo will play on Sunday. There's no reason why he wouldn't because he'll have time to rehab that ankle.

I think the Lakers and Lonzo's camp legitimately decided to rest him vs. Fox to save face. Despite winning SL MVP, he was horrible in his 1st game, and had an ok bounceback in his 2nd. Fox clearly beats him in head-to-head matchups, and they didn't want him to do it again in SL. Imagine if Fox put up 20pts against Lonzo, while he continued his shooting struggles. Lakers fans would be upset. National media would talk about Fox vs. Lonzo for an entire week. BBB takes a huge hit.

I'm ready for Fox vs. Lonzo

I have not paid attention to the Lakers as of yet. Who on that team matches up defensively on De'Aaron? They can't let Lonzo "Franchise" Ball get shown up by a Sacramento King. It would just not do, would not fit in with the script Magic and crew are writing for the Young Phenom.

I'm thinking the Spurs and the Lakers do everything they can to make De'Aaron give up the ball early in the shot clock.

I think Kentavious Caldwell Pope could fair ok. He's not going to be able to keep up with Fox's speed, but he can move his feet nicely. KCP is also a physical defender. He knows how to push players off their spots and use his size to contest around the rim. It'll be interesting to see if the Lakers will matchup KCP on Fox.

DeJounte Murray can actually matchup Fox's quickness, but he's too young and undisciplined on D. They might throw Patty Mills at him instead.

I'm curious how this game goes regarding Fox and Bogdan. According to camp reports Bogdan is one of the best shooters on the team yet he only had 2 attempts last game.

Is Bogdan passing up open shots? Is Fox failing to get him the ball in good spots? Fox seems to look for his friends in Jackson and Skal but I have a question if he distributes to all teammates.

I think you're reading too much into it. Only two games so far and Fox doesn't even have that many assists. Bogdan had a few opportunities to jack up threes in the last game and he didn't take them. So far Fox hasn't really driven to the hoop and kicked it out. He's just been scoring when he gets in the lane. Bogdan has just been really passive, trying to be more of a playmaker than a scorer so far.

My counter-theory is that maybe it's by design? Joerger admitted to not really knowing Bog's game in a recent interview, so perhaps they told him not to look to score so much (as everyone knows he can do that), and to try to be a playmaker instead (there's been a lot of talk about having him in that auxiliary ball handling roll).

His lack of shot attempts is a bit weird, but I'm sure those numbers will go way up, especially in the regular season. Pre-season is still tinker time for a lot of coaches.

Also: You can't protect Ball forever, Lakers!!! Fox is coming for him in the regular season!!!

Bogdan plays like a Spurs player(euro style), meaning his instinct is to pass to create the easiest shot possible. Most of our other guys have that AAU, get yours mentality. I think once the team chemistry continues to build Joerger can get us playing unselfish style. Basically Bogdan is playing like a guy that doesn't have to prove himself, knows he's good and some of our other guys can play like they need to establish themselves. Trust me a coach like Joerger recognizes that. I think we will see more from Bogdan once the regular season starts.
  20. Charles Barkley thinks we are gonna make the playoffs.

If Kings make the playoffs in the next two years I'm gonna buy a plane ticket from Latvia to Sacramento in a heartbeat and buy a ticket for a first playoff home game and gonna wear the most-ridiculous outfit the NBA will ever see.

    Let's go, Kings.

I was at the Lakers game vs Denver in my hometown(Ontario CA), and he was a game time decision, that was on Wednesday. A little strange that he is ruled out of the game the morning of the game.
