This is the GAME thread, the game thread about the upcoming game between the Kings and the Celtics. I'm asking ... no pleading with ... people to keep it about the topic at hand. We have other threads already going that talk about whatever other issues may be tangential to the game thread.

It looks like those of us who have been really wanting to see more of WCS are going to get our wish. It's gonna be about heart, hustle, energy and effort for the whole Kings team. I have faith. I do not think they will come out cold or let us down.

no Boogie equals a blowout loss most likely. That said, this is the perfect opportunity for Trill to showcase his skills more. I'd like to see him be aggressive on offense.

IT would torch Cousins/Koufos on pick and rolls, but if you throw WCS in there his length and quickness might slow him down.

I'd make Barnes, Afflalo and Koufus the inactives. Start Papa, WCS , Richardson, Ben, Collison. Skal, Lawson, Tolliver off the bench. The league wants bad games, give them one.

If it's the Friday game (ATL) Casspi is aiming at, then I think we have BOTH Cuzz AND Cass in that one.
    Am I wrong?

I don't see any way that a team like the Celtics will remotely play down to the level of their opponent the way the Kings constantly do.

This will be a blowout, and lead to many unhappy fans (other than those that want to see the youth play in extended garbage time).

Too bad Cousins isn't playing he would feast on the Celtics bigs

Dude I'm hoping for a good game. If it came off snarky that wasn't the intention.

LOL, no 2-minute report because it was a 6 point game at the 2:00 mark. GG NBA!

Horford has always bothered Cousins, length, quickness and smarts.

Is this what it takes for me to finally see Skal?

This franchise is actually smirked at for its vets all in approach by some national pundits

What makes you think you'll see Labissiere play meaningful minutes? We'll still have Koufos, Cauley-Stein, Tolliver, & Barnes who can all get minutes at PF/C.

Barnes will be playing significantly at the three still with our injury situation. Why do you care?

    WCS emergence game???

What makes you think that? We'll have Collison, Afflalo, McLemore, & Richardson who can play SG and Afflalo, Barnes & Richardson who can play SF. Removing Barnes, that's 4 players to cover the wings. Removing Barnes from the bigs, and you only have 3 players to cover PF/C. You'll probably see him play a lot of 4 with that in mind meaning we most likely won't see Labissiere.

Knowing Joerger, I can envision Afflalo/Matt starting at the wings, which then may eliminate the need for a Ben/Malachi and may take an extra big with WCS starting. Who knows, we will see I guess. Maybe Barnes will start at 4 and they go small

Young players are not going to get regular minutes as long as ownership and FO thinks we need to make the playoffs.

Beat me to it. Probably the only real "Cuz stopper" out there....

    Well, besides the refs.

Knowing Joerger? He started McLemore & Afflalo at SG & SF the last two games (probably would have been the last 3 if Afflalo didn't get sick), so what makes you think he is going to change? I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but the odds are that he's going to stick to what he's been doing the last couple of games.

With DMC sitting on top of the pile of injured hard to see how this game does not start ugly and get uglier. All Joerger can do is be creative with his spare parts and hope for one of those nights where magic happens. Personally I might start WCS with Lawson to put quick on quick and give Tye his favorite go to guy.

The last step boogie needs to get to his ceiling as a player. The ability to see the game.

Meaning as long as Joerger is being judged on wins he will battle to the death with the vets. Its gonna take an "executive order" saying your job is safe regardless of record, develop the young players.
