That press conference was embarrassing. There's a real chance he's worse than Pete ****ing Weasel D'Allesandro.

Which is worse? IT for nothing?
DMC for Culture, Heild, and a pick. Then also the Philly swap.

The anger in me says yes, absolutely. We'll see when everything calms down.

Didn't PDA also bring in Landry and trade tyreke and waive everyone of value? Also, he fired Malone brought in Karl, so I am going to say it is neck and neck.

The part that made me cringe the most is when he said they had a better offer 2 days ago. If that were the case, I think it might have been worthwhile to be patient and put a little pressure on the negotiation. It sounds to me like he caved.

They're both terrible. They both did long lasting damage

But they both worked under Vivek and their worst moves had a flair of Warriors fandom to them.

He sounded like a college student in his press conference. We are in trouble. How does it just keep getting worse? OMG

I can't say he is simply because I think Vlade at least knows what a basketball team is supposed to look like. Pete just threw crap at a wall and would see what stuck.

Vlade is not cut out to be GM, but Vivek is the real problem here. That is pretty obvious. He is a meddling owner who gets fascinated with players who might turn out to play like the Warriors. It is all bad, but Vivek is the main issue here. Vlade is just an incompetent puppet who is taking the blame for the incompetent dictator.

PDA is way better than Vlade.
Yes it was a mistake to let IT go, but the concerns about IT were real. Yes it was a mistake to fire Malone, but Malone wasn't an above average coach.
Vlade inherited Karl and decided to run with him. And he made whats arguably one of the worst trades in league history.
Enough of the dumb excuses for him already, just because he was once a part of the Kings.

So you are ignoring what Vlade himself said to blame Vivek?

The most important person for the franchise hired both of those losers. That's the worst.

Things aren't changing here until most of the local media regularly points out the Vivek is the real problem, what's happening here isn't remotely normal, and why and how moves these are stupid. That hasn't happens for a decade.

I give Carmichael Dave full credit for being pretty honest today, but the format for several show today also seemed to be vintage "Oh, today was bad. One host will acknowledge this is a problem so the angry can vent. The other will dust off the last 10 years of talking points and pivots for those ready to receive it. In a few days, we'll all go back to kissing the owners ring and hope for the best in the draft." Between KHTK desperately trying to keep the die hards engaged to make their budget work and the Bee being as rudderless as the Kings, it's going to take several more years and a lot more pain for this to bleed out.

The pick swap and this trade that just happened are two of the worst trades in a while. After saying that, bad trades happen all the time. Saying in a press conference you had a better offer 2 days ago normally never happens. He's clearly unfit to be a GM.

    During the press conference.

There really is no local media to call it out. KHTK is going to be a mouthpiece. Dave will try to be Dave. The Bee is indeed lost and rudderless. I give Jason Jones credit. He didn't tow any company line about this either way. The other local station is full of idiots.

Wow anyone who ever thought Vlade was competent watch that press conference, he sounds just like the mumbling idiot PDA.

Vivek is still calling the shots, always was. Vlade has no clue in regards to what a GM does.

I never believed Vlade was competent or the real GM but after watching that mess even I'm speechless.

There is no plan, its the sams BS shifting blame every year.

There was a better offer two days ago and Vlade said he thought offers would keep getting worse......Congrats Vlade, you played yourself.

Twitter says Vivek sees Steph Curry in Buddy Heild wow what a sad sad day.

Silly question and a waste of time. Let's talk what team pieces we have now and how they may fit together. Whether the next time we meet the Celtics without Cuz we beat them by more r less.

What's worse... breaking your left leg or your right leg?

They both are terrible. Problem is Vivek.

That game was an aboration. The Kings aren't winning 5 games the rest of the way and their "pieces" have all showed jack and ****.

WCS? He was a major bust / Fire Vlade candidate just 10 games ago.

Heild? Unimpressive, a rookie that's nearly the same age as McBen.

Richardson? He made two shots in a row and made us excited once. So that's good.

PapaG? Skal? Both complete shots in the dark. Could they develop? Sure. Will they? Not likely.

Future picks? With this team's history, I don't have faith.

i think theyre both bad, but different bad. PDA was bad cuz he was bad at talent evaluation, trading, signing free agents, you know stuff you need to be a good gm. But he had experience so he should know better but was too stupid. Vlade is bad because he is way over his head and doesnt know the basics of being a gm.

I wonder how grant will spin it for his buddy vlade tho. i doubt he will throw him under the bus like he did pda since he loves getting rid of DMC. I actually like the low downs take on it and glad i listened to them. they seemed less biased and called out who they needed to when they needed to.

PDA and Vlade are both equally bad.

Vivek is calling the shots. No way Vlade trades DMC on his own. Vivek made him do it:

    Vivek: Vlade?
Vlade: (Runs into Vivek's office.) Yes boss.
Vivek: I need for you to trade DeMarcus.
    Vlade: I'm sorry. Say again?
Vivek: You heard me the first time. Do it and do it ((((((((((((((NOW))))))))))))).

Please. They both have responsibility over this trade. Keep in mind Vlade gave up a 2019 unprotected first for literally nothing.

PDA/Vivek >>> Vlade/Vivek for one simple reason. PDA/Vivek didn't trade the teams best player (and top 10 in the league) for an unfair return. Nor did they forfeit the chance at landing a top pick.

Nothing else PDA/Vivek did during that time compares. At all. And it was pretty bad which says a lot.

Another interesting discussion would be, is Vivek worse than the Maloofs?

I would say he is. Maloofs were excellent owners until they ran into the financial issues . They just signed the checks for Petrie and got out of the way
