Also, be careful out there to the Norcal folks during the flood warnings.
While it looks like the main part of the storm may miss us, sitting here in the middle of a freaking forest with tall trees all around is no fun at all when the winds are a steady 20-30 mph with gusts up to 50. It sounds like about a dozen snow plows going up the road right behind my house all at the same time - and there's nobody on the roads.
The lights have flickered and I actually had to take down all my wind chimes on the south side of the house.
The only thing I don't have to worry about is flooding - I'm at 3700 ft on the side of a mountain. If it floods here, there aren't very many people left in the Sacramento Valley to read this post.
