    The Vivek thread (split)

:rolleyes:I don't get all of the hate/criticism of Vivek. First of all, the guy has deep pockets, and is willing to spend on the team. Instantly better than the previous owners. Further, an owner's primary responsibility IMO is not "great leadership personality" but getting people in the right...

Power Forward - Our Weakest Position

I feel that power forward is clearly our biggest weakness in the roster, and a big reason why the team is not better. Look at our roster: C - Elite, Cousins Power Foward - ? Small Forward - Rudy Gay (Good player) Shooting Guard - Ben McLemore (Playing well of late) Point Guard - Collison...

    Kings' Weakest Position?

I think that Power Forward is clearly the Kings' weakest position, now that the roster has revealed itself and we are the near the end of the 2013-14 season. Going into the season, I would have thought Small Forward was the weakest, but this is no longer the case. Assuming we hang on to Rudy...

    Tyreke Evans Questions

Does Tyreke need to be on a team that is fast, with little inside offense (i.e. Suns with Amare) in order to really succeed in this league? Is he doomed being set to play next to Cousins/Whiteside/Dalembert, bigs who tend to slow down and clog the offensive sets?

    Where can I watch Cousins?

He doesn't seem to have youtube highlight clips like John Wall. I only assume he is an elite talent in the draft because everyone else says so, but I want to actually see footage of his play. Since his college days are over, is there any place on the internet I can find videos of him? Side...

Will Cousins be available at 5?

We all know Wall and Turner will be taken 1 and 2. Favors will certainly be taken 3 or 4. If he is taken 3, will the Twolves really want Cousins? They already have big men in Jefferson and Love. It doesn't really make sense for them. I think they would likely take Wesley Johnson, a wing player...

    Tiebreakers

If we end up with an identical record as New York/Philidelphia/Detroit/Washington/LA Clips/Golden State at the end of the season, who wins the tiebreaker for higher draft position? If we lose out, we could possibly be in pretty good shape....

    The Kings' future

This topic is about the upcoming draft. The Kings are sitting at 22-44. I think that would normally qualify as a very high pick. But thanks to the many bottomdwellers of the Eastern Conference, we are in 'competition' for a higher position in the draft, and there in a huge logjam. Kings...

    If we landed John Wall

Who's to say Wall/Evans wouldn't work out, for similar reasons that Martin/Evans didn't work out? Why would it be different than that failing combination? (Note: I do realize it could be absolutely amazing, too.)

Why didn't we get more for McGrady?

Did we save money by getting other expirings? It's somewhat frustrating when McGrady goes off for 25 (I think) against the Knicks, and yet we seemed to give him up for nothing. Maybe others don't mind, but it would have been nice to aquire a future 1st round pick, or a somewhat talented...

    Houston Kings/Sac Rockets?

Houston has been in the mix with us a lot these past couple of years. They picked up our old coach. They freed us of Artest. Plus Bobby Jackson went back and forth between the teams. Without their involvement, we would be without: Greene Casspi Landry What's the deal? Well done, Geoff...

Why is the trade forum so silent one day before the trade deadline?

Oh yeah, because Geoff probably won't make a major move. Still, I'm surprised hardly anything is being discussed.

    Jason Thompson

Sucks. And he is always complaining about calls.

I know you can't do this, but...

If you could, what Kings players would you part with to acquire Cole Aldrich today? Why?

    Jason Thompson's D

I think Jason was a good defender in college. Why is he bad now? Isn't it normal for new players to struggle defensively, and will he get much better? It seems that he has the physical tools to become a good defender...

    Kings/Nets Idea

Kings out: Kevin Martin Unprotected 2010 1st round draft pick Unprotected 2010 2nd round draft pick Kings in: Bobby Simmons (10.56 million expiring) Unprotected 2010 1st round draft pick (Would they have an option of protecting only, say, the 1st overall pick?) Why the Kings do it If the...

    Concerning Kevin Martin-

How much trade value does Kevin Martin have, and why? What seems like a fair return for him in a trade? If a draft pick, how high? If a player, how good?

    Kings / Nets Trade Idea

Kings send: Kevin Martin Jon Brockman 2010 2nd round pick Nets send: Bobby Simmons (10.5 mil expiring) 2010 1st round draft pick Why Nets do it: They are in desperate need of scorers, and Kevin Martin is a proven NBA commodity (although he is injury prone), he might pair well with Devin...

    Knowing what you know now...

If you had to go back to draft day, who would you pick with #4- Rubio or Tyreke Evans? My vote was originally Ricky Rubio on draft day, but now I prefer that we have Tyreke Evans.

    2010 Lottery Pick

Assuming that we have a lottery pick in 2010, what position should we focus on? Do we draft for the best available player or not?
