    VF21

She never really slapped me on the hand, but she did message me one time about things she knew as a relative insider, which were completely relevant to the subject under discussion, but which she didn't think should be publicly posted. Putting that sort of effort into community building is...

    Coronavirus

Yeah, I don't hold Gobert responsible for the other cases, and I know he has apologized. I just can't unsee how I saw him acting, so I may be able to forgive him, but thinking that he's not a fool might take a bit longer.

    Coronavirus

With asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic carriers, little testing, and slow public awareness of how quickly it was moving, having spread it a couple of weeks ago isn't necessarily blameworthy anyway. A lot has changed since then. Gobert's still an irresponsible jerk, though. What a horrible example.

Depends on the bonds. I did the same some time ago, since I thought stocks were irrationally overpriced and that a major correction was in the works. As of right now, my retirement account is +.83% for the calendar year.

    Coronavirus

Most people who die of it, don't do so until close to three weeks after they're infected. That skews things an awful lot.

    Coronavirus

At least part of the asymptomatic carrier problem isn't that they never show symptoms, but that 10% of those infected only show symptoms two weeks later. 10-20 percent of people infected will require hospitalization. Kids under age 8 seem to be shrugging it off pretty well, but most older...

    Coronavirus

Out here in Sonics territory, it is really scary right now. Washington had 99 new cases today, 101 the day before that, but hundreds of other infected people still untested. Also, it's in *ten* nursing facilities in the Seattle area now. We figure we have one to two weeks before our health...

    [Game] Kings @ Grizzlies - 28 FEB - 5PT/8ET

I can't be watching tonight, but are both teams playing tough defense, shooting really badly, or both?

    Boogie come home?

I try to only worry about things I think might happen. I'm doubtful that it will, so won't try to decide whether it should or not.

    Rehashing Joerger...again (split)

IIRC, the ASB was well after the FO had declined to renew any of his assistants' contracts. The writing was already very much on the wall by then.

Jeffries first off the bench? Why?

    Hollinger 30-win prediction

Secret Hollinger prediction method: "Let's see, they won 287 games in ten years, but looked a little better last season before crashing and burning, so I'll round up. 30 it is."

Youngman speaks out/Organizational handling of injuries (merged)

Last year it was reported that Brandon Williams was the one behind Pete and Manny leaving. Wouldn't that also fit what he's saying there?

Pick Watch (aka Tank Talk 2020)

Being over 40, I suck at Harry Potter, and thought of the ordinary definition of 'squib load,' a misfire in which a bullet is fired without sufficient force to make it leave the barrel. I suppose that's what Rowling was thinking of when she borrowed the term.

    Carmichael Dave sparks new conversation

Since the team's tripled in valuation on her (very long) watch, there is a strong point in her favor, and I suppose that's why she survived the Jeff David fiasco. Have I been missing out on rumors and/or evidence that she's screwing up the team somehow?
