Calling All Monarch Fans!!!! It May Be Time to Come Home!!!

Yeah, that would be nice if the Monarchs returned, but that would likely happen only after the Downtown Arena is built. It also helps that the new Kings owner Vivek Ranadive is a fan of the women's game. But I'm not holding my breath right now.

This thread is for news/opinions for 2011 WNBA season. Even though the Sacramento Monarchs franchise is no more , we can still keep up with what's going on with the former Monarchs players/staffers and in the world of women's b-ball. Regretfully, I'm going to start off with a bit of...

WNBA President Donna Orender steps down

I'm not an expert on Judaism, but I'm guessing that it is. Anyway, I'm more interested to see if she truly left on her own. Or if she was pushed out of the WNBA, since IIRC, the WNBA team owners meeting was being held earlier this week.

Hornets possible location could be SAN JOSE?

It would have little effect on the Kings...but a MAJOR damaging impact on the Warriors. New York and L.A. have two NBA teams, but I cannot imagine the S.F. Bay Area getting two NBA teams. I think Seattle would be a more likely destination. I'm suprised that Pittsburgh, despite its...

[WNBA] Comments that don't warrant their own thread - 2K10 Edition

The Washington Mystics have just hired Trudi Lacey, as their new General Manager and Head Coach. Trudi is quite possibly the worst G.M. and Coach --- or least, G.M. alone, anyway --- the WNBA has ever had, based on her results with the Charlotte Sting...
