Lots and lots and lots of discussion about the trade, so I'm curious as to where people stand. Hence the poll. I added descriptor phrases but the main point is which category.

disappointed, for so many reasons i've stated on so many occasions. very disappointed, to add a qualifier. will upgrade to "furious" if PDA fails to bring in further personnel that constitute 1) a commitment to defense, and 2) a replacement for the elite rim attack that was just shown the door...

Undecided for me... I wanted Evans back but trust our new fo. If they don't think he's a good fit for this team then I'm in... let's see what they can put together.

I'm both disappointed and undecided. I think it's a bummer than Evans/BMac wasn't given a chance, and it's a loss in terms of talent.
That said, there IS cap space. How that irons out is yet to be determined, so I'm a little intrigued, but I can't get excited about the talent dump that just happened. Maybe a first round pick would have changed my mind.
Truthfully, I probably went:
Furious
Disappointed
Undecided
Meh
Undecided

Probably not going back to furious/disappointed, because it's unhealthy and out of my control.

Furious as he was my fav player, and I don't think he was necessarily bad for the team either. Furious about losing him, undecided on if it's a good or bad offseason

Disappointed (my vote) and undecided. A long way to go this summer, but I think they made the wrong decision (amongst a couple others). Please, management, prove me wrong.

#8
Furious unless our new GM can do something that no GM in Sac history ever could which was use the cap space to do something positive.

OKAY. Liked Evans, but didn't think he was best for our needs.........

Once we drafted a SG, and the Iggy thing fell through I was hoping we didn't match (although I thought the FO might match). I am a season ticket holder again, and Evans as the only real distributing/ball handling option was something I wasn't really looking forward to truthfully. The last time I was a season ticket holder was that year after we were supposed to move to Anaheim and for the first part of the season I was making excuses to myself why I didn't want to go to the game. Too tired, headache, whatever. Basically I was using excuses that a married person uses when he/she doesn't want to fool around. I didn't want that to start happening again.

Furious. I haven't had much to say about it though, because as Mama is always alleged to have said, "If you can't say something nice..."

I voted OKAY...I am not disappointed that we traded Tyreke. He, too, was my favorite Kings player (heck I even have his jersey). But one thing is for sure, and that is this new ownership group came into this bad boy with one goal in mind, and that is to make an impact from the very beginning. They weren't gonna come in and say that the current roster as it is currently built is amazing. They were going to come in and do exactly what they have done with the Tyreke deal, and that is make an impact. Make a splash. Make a bold move. This is their impact. This is their splash. This is their bold move.

I am willing to wait this out and see where this roster goes from here on, but with the recent acquisition of Ben McLemore, I can potentially see a deadly arsenal led by DeMarcus Cousins, Ben McLemore, and TBD. Unfortunately, Tyreke does not fall into that TBD space, nor did I expect him to. I saw a huge deal coming, and at one point in time I fully expected it to involve DeMarcus. As more and more was discovered about this regime, I knew they saw DeMarcus as being our franchise player. At which point I knew Tyreke's days in Sacramento were approaching the end.

Don't worry Kings fans, we will be back. Trust me, this ride has only gotten started. It's gonna be a crazy one. I hope it will be fun at the same time...

I’m probably in the middle of disappointed and furious. Tyreke’s last 2 seasons was a total joke. He wasn’t given a fair shot, he was yanked from one section to the next, he was ignored on offense by our other PG (I.T) and now we don’t even get to see what he could do with a new system, a new coach (who hopefully knows how to coach – personally if I knew that we were going to gamble on a assistant coach I really wanted Brian Shaw) and some tweaks at our roster. We could have had a great 1-2 punch with Tyreke and Demarcus. And Tyreke can basically score when he’s in the zone....Good luck to him, even though I hate that he’s not going to be in a Kings uniform next season.

Ok with it. Liked Evans but doesn't fit next to Cousins/McLemore. Those guys need a pass first pg to get them easy/open looks. Tyreke's skillset basically would require him to be a superstar player for you, and i don't see it. Vasquez is a perfect fit, and he hasn't reached his ceiling yet, cerebral players that rely on Basketball IQ and intangibles over athletic ability can have prime years well into their 30's.

This team can't afford to bleed talent like that. I refuse to believe that there wasn't some way to put together some sort of trade to get back better value, at the very least.

I voted furious as it was my initial response, but now I am at a cross between disappointed and undecided - I am sad Tyreke is leaving but the FO could have a bigger picture here than letting him go because of money and whatnot.

I find that some people are just glass half empty/ half full with these players.. Some will continue, until the player is out of the league, blame the circumstances for the players lack of development instead of the player himself. Its the same thing with Cousins. Some look at him and blame his environment, whereas some hold him accountable for what he's currently not. I'm glass half empty. Reke never made the team better, he's probably not a pg in this league and was overpaid for what we needed. He certainly never lived up to what I thought he was going to be after his R.O.Y campaign. That's on him, not the subpar coaches. If he was a star he would have taken the team on his back and actually made the chump coaches look better. I trust D'Allesandro's expertise more than anyone on the boards

i voted disappointed, because i am indeed dissapointed, Tyreke has been one of my favorite NBA players to watch, and i watched every NBA minute he has played. and i think Tyreke was NOT given a fair chance to perform here in Sacramento.

with that said, i see how this team could be fun to watch with a Vasquez type of player running it, BUT, if they don't end up making good use of that cap space that the Evans trade freed up (VIA Free Agency or Trade) my mood might change to furious

Still furious, obviously. I thought we were going to play Tyreke at PG next year and every other PG in the league was going to cry when they got matched up opposite him. Instead we'll be starting Vasquez at PG and every other PG in the league is going to light up like a kid on Christmas morning. Sigh.

Looks like TheJamal hasn't voted because there are zero votes for ECSTATIC. :D
??

Why would I be ecstatic Reke is gone?I've said multiple times I would have kept him if our long-term plan was to keep him at SG. But it wasn't. $11mil is far too much money to experiment with him at PG

He was one of the few things that make Kings bball bearable the last 4 seasons.

My thoughts exactly.

He never complained about his ever-changing roles, wasn't a troublemaker, and had to deal with incompetent coaches year after year. Also dealt with that nagging foot injury. He improved a LOT this year in terms of defense and his shot was steadily improving. I think we gave up too soon. We only got Grevis Vasquez to show for him so far...

This kid has been one of my favorite players to watch the last 4 years. What coaching and management did to this guy's development the last few years should put them in prison. It was that bad. With that said, though, I can live through this trade ONLY if they do something with that cap space. They need to absorb a salary(hopefully Asik) and then I'll be happy. If they fail to use the cap space on useful players, then I'll be extremely furious.

Just poking some fun, nothing serious. :p

My main options, considering Iggy is not available anymore, are Asik and Deng. They could both fill a need, Asik with front court depth/partner for Cousins and Deng obviously brings much needed help at the three.

disappointed. Evans was set up to fail these last few years and I would've really liked to see him and Cuz be established as the absolute main weapons without all the chicken with its head cut off offense we've had going on for a while now. the only saving grace for me is that he was dealt to my second favourite team with a pretty much perfect coach for him going forward. this feeling could still change if we did something useful with all that capspace. it might also change negatively if we used that capspace to acquire Smith or Gay, in which case I'd start sharpening my pitchfork.
