On the road again...

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist may or may not play, not that it will make much difference IMHO.

I originally had a comment here about Z-Bo but I've spun it off into its own thread as it didn't really belong here.

Heart, hustle, energy and effort - oh, and maybe some defense? Come on, Kings. Put some things together. You don't have to win but you can't go home so you might as well do the best you can.

As always, this game is being recorded. Won't be able to watch much of it live, so I will have to play some catch-up and will post my thoughts once I do.

Some real bonafide ugly put on display by Willie to close the half.

I know J.Jackson is a rookie, but man he doesn't like having the ball in hands very much. Looks very happy to run to the corner and stand there. When he does get the ball, he passes it as quickly as possible.

He's a rookie. That's the easiest spot on the court to sink a three. I've seen teams send their players to that exact spot more times than I can count. I do recall them doing it so often with Kevin Martin that a bunch of us here back in the day called it Martin's corner. ;)

This team gives up open threes at an alarming rate, it's like they don't have scouting reports.
They have the scouting reports. They just, for whatever reason, simply do not want to guard against a three. Our guys drop off their man beyond the arc like it's poison. And I can't just blame Joerger. I think it must be in the franchise DNA or something because it's been happening through more coaches than I care to count.

Opponents 3pt % is the worst in the league at 38.4% (surprisingly Jazz are at 38.3% and Bucks at 38.1%). Joerger coached teams are all in the 35-36% range (which isn't great). I think it's easiest to just blame it on Z-bo this week, since he's the whipping boy flavor of choice right now.

I feel psychic. I actually responded to your comment before you posted it. :p
