No, Grant. The game got away from the Kings in the 3rd quarter. Doug is hitting the nail on the head with his analysis. This is something we see all too often.

Bogi fed Willie an alley oop that misses, Willie gets loose ball, Bogi runs to wing for wide open three, Willie proceeds to take five dribbles and brick something off the glass instead of the easy kickout for a wide open three to a good shooter. These are the kinds of things that separate winning teams/players from losers.

For all the accolades Z-Bo received tonight, I wonder how many Grizzlies fans would welcome him back with open arms...

Well, I think I'm gonna go outside and grab a nice armful of firewood. The temperature is dropping like a rock up here. No rain/snow expected until Sunday night, but temp supposed to get down into the high 20s. Looks like winter may have finally arrived.

GO KINGS!!!

Not so much low IQ but more "this team sucks, let me try to get mine so I can get paid". There is no team culture in place to punish this kind of play. The Spurs or Heat would have benched Willie on the spot.

Dave Joerger really needs to stop with the ranting and raving because he's making one of the worst mistakes the coach of a young team can make. At best you could say he's emulating a Greg Popovich type of coach, but the issue is Joerger has already exhibited the double standard that nullifies it. Coaches like Pop are very rare when they survive as long as they do but they do because they'll yell at or bench a Tim Duncan just as quick as they'll yell at or bench the 12th man. You never see Joerger yelling at his vets when they make a mistake. Can't do that, players begin to resent you.

Truth. Most of my feelings have nothing to do with poor Buddy himself (I'll always hold the trade against him, and that's admittedly on me), but he doesn't help my opinion when 80% of the time he's really bad with only occasional hot streaks making him look like a valuable player.

Even if he eventually "gets it", I'll always be a bit resentful.

Maybe one day Buddy will be lucky enough find himself on a team like Golden State. Then you'll see the value of Buddy Hield. And if the stats about his catch and shoot abilities play out, then you better watch out. With that in mind he is what he is and right now he's playing on a team that doesn't know what it is from the top on down.

Papa is not ready. He should really be in Reno all year. Same with Jackson. Both guys are so far from being able to contribute, it's not even funny. Jackson has the potential to be a solid defender but his shot is not very good and he doesn't bring anything else to the court by the way of rebounding or passing.

Damn Skal. He did so many things well that he has struggled with for the last year and then goes out and can't do the things he's actually been good at. Hopefully he starts putting some complete games together. At least we have something with him that we can build on.

Best thing about the night was hearing that Giles was 6'9", 245 lbs, and tested out with elite lateral foot speed for an NBA small forward. That's what I'm talkin' about! Can't help but get excited about that!
