Should be interesting to see which two veterans sit out tonight. I can't imagine Joerger sitting out both Temple and Hill.

Glad to see DeFox make it into the top 10 rookies. If he continues to improve, we could see him MUCH further up the list in a very short period of time.

Heart, hustle, energy and effort - and CONCENTRATION. I also hope the kids took Doug Christie's comments to heart. I'd love to hear that the layup line was serious, for a change, and not playground exhibition.

Fox, Bogs, Jackson, Z-Bo and WCS are my guess (although not my preference) for the starters.

GO KINGS!!

I wouldn't be surprised if Z-Bo comes in off the bench and Skal starts. Or Kosta for the matter (although if DJ is going to go down that road, I'd much rather see Skal).

But, then, maybe Z-Bo is going to be "one of the two veterans"...

Too many questions. Definitely not enough answers. Not yet, at least.

I put Z-Bo for the simple reason I do not think Joerger is gonna start 5 kids. And, if Temple and Hill don't play, that limits who he puts out there to start. I guess alternatively he could go with Fox, Bogs, Carter, Skal and WCS - but that sounds like a recipe for frustration. ;)

I actually really wish he starts with that lineup one of these days. It won't be pretty. But, it will definitely be fun.

I for one am at the point where I want to see 20 min or so of Pappa G. I get that he is young but after a year and a half of playing in and around the league I would expect him to be able to hold his own. That being said I get that defending Gorbert is a tough call but a few min against one of the toughest covers in the league will be useful.

Will be interesting to see if he can "play in Today's NBA" or if basketball is just basketball. If he can get back in transition I see no reason why he can't be effective.

It doesn't matter what vets sit, it's the rotation pattern that's the issue. Trading out vets for youth and doing the same platooning is better, but in the end still not what you need to build value. I hope we start seeing some of the younger guys get up into that mid 30 mark minutes wise. Specifically Hield, Bogdan, and Fox.

The thing that bugs me most about PapaG not getting minutes? He doesn't look HORRIBLE out there when he gets his token minutes.

Could he be better? Oh yeah! Is he slow to react? Yup. Is he Kosta Koufos? Not even. Is he a total stiff who is incapable of basketball? No.

I think getting him some real minutes (no, not playing 30 minutes a game but at least SOME real gametime against real players) would be most beneficial to his development.

Re: Papa....

We have WCS showing his stuff on a more regular basis. Skal is improving (he's still pretty rough, but has shown more than Papa). Giles is untested, but impressing the hell out of everyone in practices. And we may very well go big in the draft if BPA ends up being Ayton.

Papa's window to make a mark and find his place in the league is closing. Nevermind that the game is trending small, which limits his opportunities even as a deep bencher.

I don't care anymore. He was a dumb pick, but we got Bogs that draft, so it's a wash. I had zero expectations from the start, which may have been unfair, but at least I'm not disappointed!

I have to disagree with you on this one, for me the jury is still out. He came over very young and very rough. He is only 20 years old; how many rough college sophomores have you thought should play another year? Papa seems to be putting in the work, getting in shape, and putting up solid G-League numbers. I think its time to see what he has in some extended minuets, it cost us nothing and for the folks that want to see losses to jockey for a top pick play time for him should be a "heads I win, tails you loose" situation. If the guy can't keep up then fine, bury him Reno.

Papa doesn't have a high ceiling IMO but I feel the Kings can still keep him around and see if he breaks through at least until his contract is up or maybe before that if they nab a big in the draft or via trade.

I know he's young, and it takes raw kids time, I just think he's going to get leapfrogged by all the other bigs we have.

If Papa proves me wrong, I won't mind.

I MIGHT be able to finally watch a Kings game LIVE in it's entirety. As always, I will provide my analytical two cents (and then some) after the game.

Should be a good one.

We got Skal in that same trade too, so still a trade I would do over.

I'm thinking he needs to get minutes to help his development as much as anyone, but he's by far the most expendable of our young bigs. If Giles comes in and is all that or we draft Ayton/Bagley, then he becomes even more expendable. Right now, he's the fourth most important big on the roster when we really only need two/three as a key part of our future core.

Gorbert is out...

Looking forward to seeing how WCS matches up with Gobert. That should be an important measuring stick for Willie, who has definitely been improving this year. Yes, he's got a long way to go, especially when it comes to consistency, but there are times when he looks to be the answer at center.

I think I get one of these per game.

GO JAZZ!!!!

It has been a long, frustrating season. I don't think i could be more excited about our rookie but the rest of the team combined with injuries has been terribly disappointing.

If Papa can learn to play reasonable defense, then there is a place for him because I think offensively he's going to be ok. In one of his last games at home, he showed an outside touch, I think he's got potential on that side of the ball as a passer and screen setter. Defensively, he gets attacked. But....I think he can match up with the Steven Adams of the league as a big ass body.
