Zbo with the foul? Hate complaining about the refs but this is rather ridiculous. TWolves don't deserve this type of status. That's usually reserved for teams at the top.

I miss having someone better than Towns...

Man, me and the Kings are in a rough patch in our relationship. Some wins (sup Phoenix and Chicago), I'm not very happy... and when they lose, I just don't care.

I'm just thinking of yesteryear, and former player, and anything except what's actually going on on the court.

Yet, here I am continuing to (kind of) watch. It's just background noise at this point, but it's still on.

This is vaguely reminiscent of our first game vs. the Bucks this season. Both teams are currently 4 games above .500, 4th in their respective conference, and represent the top team currently in that second tier of playoff teams.

Still, was hoping we would be more competitive than this. Hopefully we can make a game of it yet.

Quite possibly the most bizarre comment I've ever seen in a game thread...and apparently it killed same.
At about the four minute mark of the fourth quarter, there was a guy who ran all the way down the sideline with a bass drum, and he got down the court faster than we did. It was as bizarre as the comment.

Also, I take no credit for killing the game thread. I think the Kings did a thorough enough job of that on their own.

If the game wasn't boring enough, the Twolves court and jerseys were.

The strategy of letting the oppositions best big man at the start of every game get there confidence and demolish Skal making it almost impossible later on for any of the other big's to have any chance of slowing them is completely idiotic unless your going for losses.

You can't let good/great players get off early or else its over.

How do you suggest the Kings defend "the oppositions best big man"? So many Fans are calling for staring 5 young players and playing the young fellas big minutes. I think we will see this as the season progresses but Fans need to be prepared for the steam rolling a young team will get.

For most of the 1st quarter there were 2 comments.
Really wasn't much to comment about. A rebuilding team got their butts kicked on the road by a pretty good playoff contending team, not totally unexpected. None of the young guys looked particularly good, again not unexpected that there will be nights like that with a rebuilding team. Doesn't mean people aren't watching.

I think a lot of posters have moved their comments to the rebuild thread which is good. A lot of the comments in previous post game threads weren't about the current game but about the rebuild. Some of us, "the sunshine and rainbows crowd", are of the opinion that the rebuild and development will be a long process and there will be a lot of bumps on the road. We are watching to see how the process plays out. When there is a bump, there is just really not a whole lot for us to comment about. We are not suddenly going to come to the realization that after 1/3 of a season in a process that we feel may take as much as 3 years, that the rebuild is a failure and generate a bunch of negative comments about the rebuild. Unlike some, we just don't know what the best way to rebuild this Kings team is, we are not even completely sure of what the Kings rebuild plan is, I don't think anybody on the forum really knows . We are going to be patient, continue to watch games, and for now, see how it continues to play out. The Kings are not going to divulge everything they are doing and I suspect that the plan is flexible and subject to change based on player development, injuries, possible trades, etc.

As for the post game thread, for a while it seemed like if the Kings won,we couldn't celebrate the win because then people who were in favor of "lins" as a way of improving draft position and putting the rebuild on the fast track filled the thread with negative comments about how wins suck and how Joerger was playing vets to win and the FO sucks and they are ruining the rebuild. Pretty much cut and paste comments, same opinions over and over.

If the Kings lost, then it was hard to discuss the game itself, and close games lend themselves more to discussions than blowouts, because the people who are expecting a fast track development of the youth filled the thread with negative comments about how Joerger was playing vets too much and the young guys not enough and the FO sucks and this young guy is garbage and will never amount to anything and that young guy was a waste of a draft pick and they are ruining the rebuild. Pretty much cut and paste comments, same opinions over and over.

Now this is a message board/forum, and it is for expressing opinions. But personally, I like to see the rebuild comments, critical or supportive, for the most part in the rebuild thread. Game related rebuild comments directly related to the game, something new and original, are fine but please not the same old cut and paste comments, but that is just my opinion, you don't have to make it yours. I like checking in on the rebuild thread periodically, to continue to stay abreast of the opinions expressed there and to see if there is anything new on that front. I hope people continue to use it for what it was created.

As for fewer comments in the post game threads, I'm not sure that filling up the thread with the same old negative comments about the rebuild adds any value over a thread with just a few comments about the game.

Ok, fire away :)
