[Game] Kings v. Lakers, Wednesday, Nov. 22 - 7:30 PT

Props to Randolph who had a monstrous first quarter. His play really set the tone and energy for the rest of the team.

On the Negative: Hill and Skal looked Abysmal again. That's saying it nicely. Skal needs to be pushed back to the D league. Hill should be traded by the deadline.
Problem is, Kings will not have one taker. No team is paying 20 million per for Hill. Especially for 2 more years.

We're obviously set with Fox and Mason.
Randolph was a monster on offense, but was a defensive liability. I enjoyed the game more when he was on the bench.

The Clippers may be interested in hill now that Beverly is out for the season. I wouldn't give up hill at this point though. Not without something worthwhile coming back.

If they want to give us a 2019 pick, I'll take it

True, but I am not sure Clips want to pay that price tag to win a few more games. Especially, since they won't make the playoffs either. They are only one game better than the Kings. They may be looking to tank. Hill and his 20 mil won't make them a playoff team.

Just got home what a game. WCS was beasting. There was one play he was headed for the rim from the baseline, and I was so excited because he was going to kill Kuzma dead - there was no doubt about it. Kuzma moved out of the way tho. And that one he came up the lane... Zach was going bonkers on the bench. WCS was just the best guy out there on either side.

Bogie is my favorite King. That's not gonna change. That dude sees the floor so well. And it was off camera, but one of those lobs he sent to WCS, Bogie was smiling so ear to ear after it. It was old school Kings - like when JWill would lob to Tariq.

Frank is Bobby Jackson v 2.0 - he should be our bench pg for the next 10 years. All set there.

If this team could jettison Hill to the Clippers, and somehow/some way entice an all star PF in trade or FA - I mean it is time for us to pull off that Chris Webber move - then we're really looking good. I don't want to count on Zach for 20/night for the next 10 years.

Bottom 5 in the NBA this year for sure, but for the last time in a while.

Love beating the Lakers what an exciting night. .500 at home. Yay

There's rumors that internally Giles is viewed as CWebb 2.0. I know we can't count on that, but it would be nice if it's true!

I watched the ESPN broadcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. They talked about renewing a rivalry; they talked about how much Sacramento loves and supports our Kings; they talked about DeAaron and Willie and Frank (along with Z-Bo and Vince) as it they understood there were two teams out there and not just the Lakers. I have NO complaints about their coverage tonight. Now back in the studio? Don't know and don't care. Switched over for the post-game.
I watched a different broadcast. Dorris is a pleasure, not sure who else was on.

Was a good game for Kings fans none- the less. Like a different team....

We give Grant a hard time but he’s such a great announcer to me. I’m really glad I recorded his broadcast instead. Such an exciting call he does when we’re winning or in a nail biting type of game, IMO.

Good to see Buddy Hield back quickly as well. I thought he’d miss a few more games as our players often mysteriously do for the simplest of ailments.

There was one play where Willie sort of came up under the rim at a bad angle on the opposite side where he started & sort of scooped it in. Made me wonder if some of Randolph's gifts had rubbed off on him.

Overall WCS is showing glimpses of something really special.

The guards seem to be starting to find our bigs for oops and good locations.

Something tells me maybe Joerger & Vlade know what the hell they are doing.

Say what you want about Grant the person but he's a absolute beast play by play guy imo

They ran the pick and roll way more this game than they have in most the games this year and bam...look at what happened.

More easy buckets at the hoop than they've had all year. Open 3's that they nailed. Way less long 2's. I think WCS only took one shot outside of 5ft from the basket all game. He doesn't need to do that. Ever. Unless it's a bail out at the end of the shot clock. Bogdan, the PnR expert from Europe comes in and finally gets to run a handful of PnR's and he throws about 5 lobs to Willie. Skal struggled but he rebounded well, especially on the offensive end. Mason was a bulldog. Shoot that 3 more kid. Hield impressed again. Fox was disappointing but he was better than he's been lately so I'll take it.

Good to see these guys put some stats up for a change.
I would love to see the ball in Bogs hands running the pick and roll every play with Willie until some one shows they can stop it. He is Stockton smart with the ball and Willie is so athletic he can finish anything. Did you see Bogs laughing at some of his finishes?

Good win, great start for once. Credit due to WCS and Zbo offensively for bringing it. Mason looked good again.

Zbo's defense is really bothersome though. It's not just bad it's like, it doesn't exist, at all. He's never been good on defense, but he looks at the point his legs just don't have it to even move laterally. If you get him in a pick and roll it's a wide open lane to the basket every time. I think it's the worst in the league.

I'm actually a Zbo fan. But as a Kings fan first, I don't get excited even if he drops 30. It just doesn't do anything for the team.

That bears repeating...and adding to my signature. :)

Let's call it like it is. Hill should be the third pg in the rotation until he proves otherwise.
Give it time. I trust in Joerger's ability to figure out the rotations based on what he knows and we don't. I'd like to do a comparison player-by-player of how the rooks have progressed thus far, but I honestly don't have enough solid data to do so. I could do it based on what I've seen, but my purple-tinted glasses don't always see the negatives that should be as much a part of an assessment as the positives.

Maybe somebody else might take a shot? Take a rookie and look at what he's done since he first stepped on the court. Hell, take WCS and Skal and Malachi, too. It might be interesting/fun? At least different? :)

I think WCS is a very good defender. I'm not sure what you are seeing except perhaps blaming him for the defensive break downs of other players. In fact you overstate this to the point of hyperbole. Are you serious?

Huh? I was talking about Zbo lol. WCS is fine defensively. Sometimes lazy, but athletic enough to make a difference.
