[Game] Kings @ Hawks 11/15/17 4:30 PM PT

Haven't been able to watch this game, but I have it on DVR. Will probably tune in soon... now tell me, is it worth watching the 1st half?? Box score looks horrible right now.

Can anyone give me a quick recap? Just from box-score watching, it seems like the starters struggled to do anything on offense. Left shooters wide open on 3pt line, and bad enough, didn't box out. Coach brought in the bench who couldn't buy a shot, and continued to play bad defense?
Quick recap: we are doing well in competing for the top pick. Not so well competing in basketball.

You can't be serious.

No, it certainly was. Joeger has as much experience with a rebuilding NBA franchise as any of us do. If they knew what they were doing that 3rd year was a thank you for your sacrifice offer. hahaha. Who knows what the mandate on down is though. If he's in it for the draft pick he's doing a BRILLIANT job. And I'm not kidding. The offensive system makes complete sense then.

It actually kind of sucks for him though because he probably doesn't have a resume that can handle a Kings rebuild just like many others before him.

I don't think Pop could do any better with this roster.

The effort sucks though, and this wasn't an issue last season post Cuz trade. The kids gotta snap out of it and lose with some dignity. Even the pre Simmons/Embiid 76ers would scrap and play hard.

I'm still holding out hope that we see improvement in the coming months.
Pop would run pick and roll like the rest of the league

This is not an NBA caliber team. Team at a mid level for D League.

Very Sad. Zero talent.
Yeah, pretty sure we're looking at a top pick for at least the next 4-5 years. That's about how long it took Philly to get their core together.

Vlade already ****'d up next year's draft. We'll call that his "Noel" draft.

If he lands us a couple superstars in the next 5 years, I'm thinking we're looking good for the 2025 playoffs. We won't even have to worry about The Warriors by then either. Brilliant!

I think he's had some some really good drafts up to this point. I'd sure like to see if that's the case on the floor at some point however. They are wasting some very valuable time here.

It's early in the season and I hate to say this...but I kinda knew our young players weren't good after watching SL. I know I know, it's only SL and chemistry is at 0.. but when your future young "core" of Fox-Buddy-Jackson-Skal-PapaG-Mason-Richardson is getting demolished by GLeague guys in SL.........it's never a good look.

Good thing is... they have time to improve.. I don't mean this in a disrespectful way to any of our young talents(unlike above), but I think we just have a bunch of young players who are better suited as role players in the NBA.

You improve by playing, not watching. And if the vets were killing it there may be an argument for that, but the entire team has played poorly, young, old, prime, doesn't matter. That usually points to something specific.

Why is Kosta the one beating the rest of the team up the court on defense? Even beating our guards[/quote]

Maybe because he's most consistent, MVP of the Kings so far this early debacle seasono_O

The “earn” playing time thing, although accepted by many, is not typical of rebuilding teams.

Young quality prospects earn playing time on lottery teams for breathing free air

Lol, Grant and Jerry doing the "Golly Gee, The Kings are down by 30 and Kosta just committed an offensive foul, but did you see him run the floor?" routine.

(Absolutely nothing against Kosta with this post, laughing at G&J's commentary.)

you know, I like that Grant and Jerry aren't too harsh on our young players. There's plenty of times where they could point dumb basketball mistakes, but they don't. However...I think there will be a time where we see them go off on the young guys.

I don't think so. Grant's going to continue to shill the hell out of this team because this is currently his dream with DMC shown the door.
