Hate to say it, Fox is not even in the conversation of the Best Rooks:

Homework and Hard Stats tell me these guys are way above the curve.

Kyle Kuzma Lakers
Donovan Mitchell: Jazz
Lauri Markkanen: Knicks
Jayson Tatum: Celtics
Ben Simmons: Sixers
Dennis Smith Jr: Mavs

Save for a couple games, Fox has shot poorly, is a mediocre distributor, and a decent defender.
Looks like as of TODAY CBS Sports says you have no idea what you are talking about as they ranked FOX at #6, ahead of Donovan Mitchell and right square in the thick of this "conversation" you talk about.

Guideline are to speak your mind. Without insulting other members or using foul language. I have a right to give my opinion, If you don't like it, that's ok. I don't post here to have a popular consensus vote. I am way too old and my time is way too precious to troll.
Lately you've been very negative and in my opinion, just flat out wrong about a lot of things but you are far from a troll. We don't all have to agree on everything around here for this to be a fun and interesting place to discuss the Kings.

I also welcome you to whats his face's ignore list in which every time he must proudly stick his chest out and verbally display to everyone in attendance anytime that decision has been made.

Fox is pretty raw, I think it's fair to level criticism at his game.

That being said, you need to be pretty biased to not see why a lot of us are excited about him. He's looking like he can be a real monster in a few seasons.

Speaking of a non-biased opinion, Simmons is the real freaking deal. I'm happy for all those 76ers fans who slogged through the process. Hopefully we luck out with some stars too by the time this rebuild is over.

Per 36 will not win you anything. In addition, Fox was drafted higher than all but, Simmons. I am going by raw/real time numbers. I am not saying Fox won't be good. I am just saying he will not win ROY. If we rely on advanced stats Per 36 as a metric, it's flawed and speculative.
Right, but declaring who the top rookies are after 11 games into the season is not “speculative” at all.

You seem to not be impressed with anything Kings related so far this year. (Granted there hasn’t been a lot) But, After Kings beat Thunder, you wrote that off to Thunder not being a top team. After our 19 year old rookie showed poise in knocking down a clutch shot to ultimately win the game, you say meh, he’s not really one of the best rookies (granted, I’m paraphrasing). I guess what I’m getting at is, what are your expectations this year as a Kings fan and what would get you excited? What would it take to make KingsSelecao say “you know what, I like what I saw out there tonight”?

I don’t think we’re in disagreement that this organization has been a clusterblank the last several years, but as a Kings fan I think you have to be somewhat optimistic about some of the pieces we’ve acquired. (The youngsters at least) Are we a finished product? Hell no. We’re going to have a very high pick in the upcoming draft to get another piece, and with continued development and continued familiarity with playing with each other we should see an upward trend in wins. I know it’s only been two wins but how much better has this team looked in those two games vs the previous 5?

Anyway, sorry for the long diatribe, just trying to understand the thinking of all types of Kings fans.

Jackson gets an A+ in my book...
I had numerous people arguing with me pre-draft when I'd bring up Jackson's name as a draft target. Obviously small sample size and he has a lot to improve upon, but perhaps the naysayers can now see a bit of what I was talking about. The kid has the ability to be a very good all around player on both sides of the court. Most of all, as I said many times, JJ is a winner.

We're cool, brother. Thank you for the support.

Hate to say it, but you're missing the point. It's not about this season. It's about the next 2-4.

After the 2009/10 season, Tyreke Evans surely looked like a better player than Steph Curry but we all know how that played out after years 3 and 4.

Your too micro focused when it's the macro view that counts most.

I have to admit both wins this past week were surprising. You couldn't tell from my comments. But, I really love how Randolph has been playing the past few games. The team has played together and with heart. My expectations for this year are tempered. The player I really want to see is Giles. Even more so than Fox.

I will make a conscience effort to be more positive and objective. I have been a long, long time fan. I was in Elementary school when Mitch Richmond joined the Kings. He became my favorite player of all time. In the process, making me a Kings fan. He actually lives not to far from me. In Deerfield Beach.

So my fandom runs deep. I have had NBA League Pass over a decade and I always look forward to every season. No matter how frustrating and agonizing they have been.

Fox doesn't seem like a ROY candidate to me. While I think he has really high potential, he's not the type to put up huge numbers and the coaches are giving him free reign like some rookies get.

#74
Overall potential is why I would take Fox over many of the guys from the draft being ranked ahead of him for ROY of the year right now. Tatum, Kuzma, Mitchel (Lauri Markkanen is doing well too). All of them should pan out to be good players, however I see all of them as being prolific scorers at max potential. Some will be one dimensional, others maybe two dimensional.... Fox is one of the few whose max potential will include offensive, defensive, and play making prowess. He has some of the best intangibles as well... Hustle, Leadership, willing passer, steal ability, length, incredible speed, and late game clutch ability. If he can add a 3pt shot to make the defense respect him from beyond the arc he will be absolutely monstrous on the offensive end. DSJ should have a great career. Simmons is great obviously, but also has had a year of practice and knowledge gathering at the NBA level under his belt. Fox will get more attention once he destroys Ball in the upcoming Laker matchup.

No he won’t and Ball is trash so glad we weren’t in position to get that clown

I would way rather have Fox than Mitchell and it's not even close. Fox has more potential, and Mitchell is incredibly inefficient so far. He's taking an absurd number of shots per game, and that's the only reason he's even in the discussion.

Ehhh.... he did drop a triple double the other night, becoming the youngest player to ever do so in the NBA. I wouldn't call him trash.

Ball has a way higher floor than Fox, and supposedly is already a positive impact for the Lakers offense, even with his horrendous shooting.

That being said, I think our guy has a higher ceiling on both ends of the court. Hopefully the Lakers brass will grow a pair and actually let the two go at it in an NBA game.

Faultz, Tatum, Fox, Frank, Markennen, and Mitchell will all be better you can quote me. Those fools could’ve had a Fox-DLo backcourt
