So... Anthony Davis gets hurt early in the first quarter, and is questionable to return. Cousins goes to the bench for his regular rest, and it's the first time all season that the Pelicans have put a lineup on the court without either one of their All-Star bigs. And boy, do they look terrible. Outscored 16-1 since Cousins sat down.

For Gentry to send Cousins to the bench, early in the 2nd, with no Davis, he had to either be exhausted, or on the verge of exploding.

With a five-point lead, and only 2:40 played in the second half, ESPN's win calculator is projecting Portland's chances of victory at 76 percent.

Portland leads by four in a game where Lillard and McCollum have combined for 7 points on 2-16 shooting. Pelicans have a long night ahead of them.

Pelicans answer a 11-0 Portland run with an 8-0 run of their own. Win Calculator still has Portland at 75 percent to win, with a 3-point lead.

I'll go to my grave thinking that Terry Stotts is a ****ty coach, but one thing he has over Gentry, for sure, is his ability to recognize mismatches.

But really how effing hard is it to surround the two best big men of their era with a bunch of three and D guys and a guy who can dribble the ball upcourt and make a pass into the post? How has Dell Demps survived in this league so long?
