Seems like odd timing when he had some of the best stats by any guard on the team against the Warriors.
It's not odd timing at all - he had to be cut before the first game. Our team is full. He was picked up for training camp and was always going to be cut. I mean, we're not cutting Mason, or Fox, or Hill to keep David Stockton. At best he was auditioning for somebody else's Two-Way spot, and he knew it.

Ah that crushing moment we have to face every season - David Stockton being cut
To be honest, I think Stockton could be a very reliable 3rd point guard on a lot of teams. A spark plug, reliable ball handler with a good shot.

But there is simply no space on the Kings roster for him.

Good luck to David! I'm sure you will get a contract overseas or in the D-League.

Solid player, no doubt he can make it. We have options there and are invested in development so its just not the right fit but as of today he has done more then Mason

can't help but feel like we wasted a 2-way spot on Jack Cooley... at this point, we already know what he is.... and it's nothing more than your 5th/6th big off the bench.

To take the other side, I'm pretty sure I would feel a lot more comfortable putting Jack Cooley in an NBA regular season game for a few minutes than I would David Stockton. I know Cooley can rebound and bang against the big boys, and I don't expect him to be an offensive cog in any way. Stockton, as PG, has to have a primary role in the offense, and I don't know if he can do it as the highest level.

Never cared for the cooley signing. Should swing for a higher potential player. Cooley is the definition of a low ceiling prospect. Love the Jkarr Slamson signing though.

Jesus Christ, one good performance in preseason garbage time later and people are talking about David Stockton like he's the second coming.

Stockton's been around for almost four years now. While it's admirable that he's stuck around this long, there's a reason he isn't a player in the league

The fourth coming to be precise, of David Stockton

Nooo :( Daviddd. Just kidding, but he definitely is a smart crafty player. He could be a JJ Barea type role for plenty of teams we just have too many guards.

Oh well..in memory:
