This season just feels different. I don't want to jinx anything, so I'm not going to talk about why I think it feels different - I'm just going to sit back and remember how much fun it is to be a Kings fan! I'm hoping our old friend Tetsujin just might have time to add in some insight now and again. He's been missed.

What are you looking to see in game 2?

MOAR ELECTRICTY from Fox!

WCS to actually be awake.

Bogdan to shoot.

Jackson's shot to fall.

And a whole group of guys playing team basketball and competing.

We showed some flashes yesterday but I remember Belinelli dropping 30+ on the blazers a few years back in preseason and getting excited so ill keep my expectations tempered.

Frank/Fox/Skal are ready to go off the bench day 1.

Really disapointed in WCS he talks a big game but is essentially looking like the same player he came in as a rookie, he just does not have that natural B-ball awareness. If he just commited himself towards being the energy defensive big off the bench I think he could have a role but so far definately looking like a fail as a 6th overall pick.

Buddy needs to learn to not pound the ball so much and that its ok not to shoot everytime he touches the ball. Move the rock.

I've got a concern with getting Bogdan & Jackson to fit smoothly offensively. So I'm mostly hoping to see better facilitation involving those guys in better situations.

Just something I noticed in game 1. The type of thing that should be able to be fixed.

From my vantage point in section 220, he showed some good offensive moves last night, spinning and finishing with his left hand. Was he doing that as a rookie?

Was a little too aggressive with the fouls, but the last one was clearly on Skal. The refs kept waiting for Joreger to sub someone in for WCS, and he was waiting for them to fix the call. They never did.

It's preseason for the refs too... would be an excuse I'd use if that call wasn't so blatantly horrible as it was.

The nice about playing SA again is that Joerger can see who does what. Last night, no one was really able to slow down Aldridge. So who can do that? Certainly not Zbo, I thought Skal struggled against him. Too bad Kawhii and T Parker aren't playing so we can see SA more at full strength.

Koufos and WCS have the best shot. WCS because of length, Koufos because of strength. Aldridge showed how soft he was in the playoffs last year. Muscle the guy up and he wilts.

Not worried about WCS foul problems. He was so used to his Seal training during the summer he was a little too overaggressive.

I like Joerger starting all the vets. He can do for that for a considerable length of time as far as I am concerned. Youngins need to earn their minutes, especially rookies. We've seen the coddled and entitled syndrome for many years, and it had woeful consequences.

Im ready for Regular Season tbh. Never like preseason under any circumstance. But last game was cool to just see them in uniform and get the introductions.

I want to see some Giles. Even if they only give him a couple of minutes.

He's cleared to play. Play him!

Also excited to see more Fox (duh), and Skal (who may very well be the 2nd best prospect on the team), and Mason (who I've decided is a future 6th man of the year candidate after one pre-season game).

Hopefully Papa G plays in a way that doesn't make me throw up in my mouth a little bit (he was decent in the 2nd half) and it would be super cool if WCS could pull his head out of his butt, because he's a pretty good player when he does.

how about playing Giles this time around, Dave?
I really want to see Giles as well and its frustrating that he's not out there, but I'm not about to doubt the medical staff or Coach Joerger in how to bring these guy along. All of the young guys developed nicely last year despite a crazy year so I have confidence that the people in charge have a plan that they are sticking to.
