I thought about it for a second if he is willing to go to the bench later in the season but I doubt it. Very intelligent, defensive pg from Kentucky without a shot. Sounds like our rookie. Maybe he can teach him how to stay in the league as long as rondo. But there are better options.

I'd say no to Rondo. He would want to start and would again play his game of racking up assists. I think Fox would be better off having a Jameer Nelson like backup, a capable veteran that is a good mentor and also able to contribute off the bench. I'm not sure who that veteran can be, or will be, but I would be looking for a veteran back up rather than a guy that will want to start and cut into Fox's minutes (and also Mason's).

His teammates (other than in Dallas) have generally seemed to like him though in Boston he apparently was too intense at times. I like that he called out Butler and Wade when they were criticizing the Bulls young players.

But it's coaches that he tends to clash with as he is stubborn and wants to do things his way. The problem is that he's long past the point of being so talented that you just roll the ball out there and let him run things.

I know he can be difficult to coach but he had good influence on the young Bulls players last season and if we are talking about a mentor, he wouldn't be the worst option, is all I'm saying.

I don't think Rondo would be a bad influence per se, but I do think he's a bad fit for what Joerger wants to do, both on offense and defense.

No, bring back Collison for his shooting, offense, and veteran leadership. Or perhaps Lawson for his defense and hustle.
Fox right now needs and will get a bulk of minutes (18+ easy) as he should.

I enjoyed having Rondo here the year we had him - he was the one guy who made the Kings watchable that year for me. But not again, no... not again.

Rondo could/would ruin everything we are currently building, No D, See's thing in only his own way, clashes with coaches, and we don't need him to play PG

It is misconception he's a great teammate. He has a huge ego. Boogie-like. Dismissive of reporters. There was a lot of turmoil and discontent in Bulls locker room. Rondo was part of that. I will say in his defense Rondo has held off the hands of time and before his injury in playoffs it looked Bulls were going to handle the Celtics in the first round If he doesn't go down that whole series turns. That said, there's no defense from him. He is out there to make passes and hope not to get abused too bad on defense. And a moody cranky guy. Does he ever smile? This is what Magic and Lakers will get if looking for a mentor for Ball. I kind of hope the Lakers sign him. Rooting for it, actually. :)

Well I think it can't be denied, that Rondo is one of the best strategists in todays league and sees the game on a level few players ever reach.
If willing to teach I think Rondo actually can be a great mentor for a young PG. I remember Cousins talking in disbelieve about the film sessions with Rondo.
Of course there are all the rumors about his character and how he is difficult to deal with, but that's up to Joerger to decide.
I personally think we don't necessarily need 15 choir boys and Rondo somehow had a point, when he stood up to Butler and Wade.

I don't see Rondo playing for Joerger. Joerger is on his feet yelling out plays all game long. Rondo needs a Coach who hands him the ball and takes a seat until the Refs need to be yelled at.
