So the cousins trade.......

I highly doubt it would be enough to make a dent in a lost season the Suns were all ready heading towards.
Maybe. They shut Bledsoe down and went 6-19 down the stretch. It's conceivable that with Bledsoe playing and adding Boogie they could have won 4-7 more games dropping them 3-5 slots in the lottery.

Either way, while I'd love to have Fox and Josh Jackson (Len and Warren likely wouldn't be retained) I'm not convinced that it's a better return than Hield, Justin Jackson, Giles and Mason

Pretty cool that Cuz is still doing his thing for the fans around town after the FO did him dirty.

Of course now I'm just going to hope that we're saving all of our cap space to resign him!

Get it done Vlade! :p
If this was the plan all along I would help build vlade a statue at g1c. But I highly doubt dmc agreed to give up that 200+ million dollar contract and take less money to play with a rebuilding team. But hey he has to play for a team in the NBA so we have a 1/30 chance he signs with us right?

I don't want him back as a King. The wound has just started to properly heal. No need to open it up and pour salt into it.

At the same, if they're able to humiliate the Warriors, I might be able to tolerate it... for a single series. might.
Watching that series would be my worst nightmare. I think my head would explode. I would much rather DMC go to the Cavs...

I can't. My hate for the Lakers is too strong. It's not in my blood to root for them in any way shape or form. Just thinking about how I could possibly wish them any success makes me sick. In fact I'm going to start a petition for de'aaron fox to change his last name and forbid vlade to ever draft anyone with the last names Bryant, O'Neal, horry, or fisher.

I agree, always will love the guy but we're better off not staying together for the kids.

Trading Jimmy buckets for spare parts is only a part of the discussion becuase we set the precedent and did it first. Shipping out our superstar for marginal returns.

Happy where we are but we didnt get adequate return on our assets and investment and it was facially managed.

There is no way Cuz ever comes back here. Ever.

He is the type of person that is incredibly proud and does not tolerate betrayal of any kind. I feel comfortable saying that we are last on his list.

The FO did not do DMC dirty lol omg. Bottom line is there is absolutely no way anyone can justify giving him that Max contract and imo if the new CBA didn't have that new incentive for the player he would have bolted. Bricky backs me up right...

I disagree. I'm not saying he will end up coming back here, but he likes the area far too much to completely rule it out.

I'm sure getting traded was a huge wake up call for Boogie and just might have humbled him a bit.

Has anyone seen the shape he's in lately? Jim Rome did an entire segment on it yesterday in which he praised his hard work and what he's transformed his body into. Of course, he started the process last offseason, but has taken it to another level. It should help his in-game stamina immensely and possibly help alleviate some of the foul trouble he gets into due to fatigue.

Cousins is not coming back to Sacramento for as long as:

- Vivek Ranadive owns the team
- Vlade Divac is in charge of the front office

Looks it s a nice little fairy tale for fans to think about....similar to LeBron and Cavs....leave so that they can accumulate enough assets and once they do, come back and go all out to win a championship. It is not happening with Cousins. He love the area, he loves the fans, still loves some people that are with the franchise but he is not going to come back to a team that has Vivek owning it and Divac making personnel calls. Just not going to happen.

There is a LOT more chance of him joining the Lakers than there is of coming back to Sacramento. Cousins despite being labeled as complex is a pretty simple dude. You do the right thing by him, show him loyalty, show him love and he will run through the brick wall for your...he has your back no matter what. Deceive him in ANY way and you are on top of his crap list. Public enemy #1!

Except he doesn't understand the word TEAM and still has a terrible on court attitude not worthy of a super max deal.

Look, I don't disagree with you completely. I think the odds are long. BUT, you're speculating. You don't really know what is going to happen or not happen. None of us do. I just simply said that it can't be 100% ruled out for reasons stated. And it can't.

It wasn't the trade, so much as them telling him, and us, that they WOULDN'T trade him hours before they shipped him out that I consider "doing him dirty". Just be real, like every other team that shops a star and get that bidding war going.

Anyways, I was just joking about resigning him in the first place.

I wish my guy luck in the big easy, but I'm all about the optimism around our young roster these days. Gonna be fun watching this team grow next season.

I really didn't mean to resurrect the Cuz debate with my wise assed theory about what we should do with our cap space! I should have known better than to joke around like that! :D

Says you.

Strange that a player that doesn't understand 'team' was one of its most willing passers. Yeah, yeah I know -- there is more to being a team player than a willingness to pass to an open teammate and make the right basketball play (I guess), but a player like Rudy Gay had a better "on court attitude" (allegedly) yet wasn't near as impactful player. So much for being a team player.

You can make all the excuses you want, but the Kings were a better team when Cuz was on the floor. All the stats you can find back that up. The Kings biggest problem always was when he wasn't on the floor. Cause they didn't have enough talent. If and once they do, they'd be very fortunate to get a player of Cousins caliber to be part of it. He'd probably double his assist total playing with players that can finish consistently and make open shots.

Have you heard or read Cousins' comments post trade? I think those paint a pretty clear picture and Cousins is the type of guy that just does NOT change his mind. His attitude that so many are dissing is exactly what makes him a great player.

Also, LeBron actually won in Cleveland before leaving. And after.

We all know what happened the last time he was openly shopped... Imagine what would happen if we didn't get a deal that was satisfactory to Divac and Vivek

Pelicans have talent but still not a winner. Nobody wants to play w him. They celebrate when he is gone. He makes the same mistakes over and over and is too prideful to change.

You're factually wrong, plenty of ex-teammates have came out in support of Cuz and said he was a great teammate. Don't let facts get in the way of you being whiny and emotional, though.

Anyone know if this forum is any closer to fixing the server issues?
