Congratulations Buddy Hield!!!

If he played all year with us, he would have been right there with Brogdan and Saric. Then again a healthy Embiid blows everyone away.

Good to see Skal get some votes as well. He would be second team if he had played all year.
And second team is not a bad company to be in...
Note that the following players made the 2nd All Rookie team in their rookie year:
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Garnett
James Harden
Paul George
Marc Gasol
Greek Freak
Ray Allen
Manu Ginobili
...and our own Hedo and Ron-Ron...

A nice bunch :D

I loved the job Joerger did to manage Buddy, he did not throw him to the wolves and was able to hide some of his deficiencies, if he saw Buddy struggling he gave him a seat on the bench but never threw him in the dog house. Did a great job of building the kid up after the trade.

Buddy exemplifies the work ethic and love for the game that we need around that building, whether he becomes a star or not he is exactly the type of player we want moving forward.

Isaiah Thomas got a vote on the defensive team. My faith has been shattered by this years winners. I disagree with pretty much everything (Not Buddy as a rookie 1st teamer tho, he deserved it).
I was going to make a joke that maybe she was the one that gave IT the vote. Also Gar Forman got a vote for executive of the year. It's clear that some people treat their vote as a way to be a contrarian or just to be a wiseass.

Unfortunately all of my faith in the NBA Awards system was shaken when it came to my attention that Ailene got a vote.
In Ailene's defense, I attended an event she was at the night of the draft lottery, and afterwards I was standing next to her when somebody came up and asked her if she thought we should draft Tatum or Fox at 5. She got this mildly shocked look on her face and said "Oh, FOX!" before launching into a brief but very on point analysis of both Fox and Tatum. I'll admit that her articles have a tendency to go into this weird male objectification place, but she's very obviously not the clueless basketball noob of her reputation.

I agree - that's depastating for me as well.

I'll stick to my opinion about the lady, if you don't mind...

Too much Voisin Venom flowed in that river for me to try and reverse my views...

(I got tired of replacing the Vs to Ps...)
