This whole vid is good but especially check out the part "defensive activity" starts at 2:36

Giles has a very real chance at being a complete or two-way player.
It's almost funny that the first play in that video (and then repeated once as well) is Giles blocking none other than Justin Jackson and turning it into a rim run on the other end.

He's 6'10" with a 7'3" wingspan, 9'3" standing reach, 32.5" max vert. To compare, Willie is 7' with the exact same standing rich and wingspan (his max vert is listed at 37' but it's important to note that Willie is possibly the single most athletic seven-footer in the history of the league) and Skal is 6'11.57" with a 7'2.5 wingspan, 8'9.5" standing reach (apparently he has a really tall head or really low shoulders) and a 35 inch vertical. Our frontline just got even more length than before.

Papa, by the way, doesn't have current measurements but as a youngster was reported to have a 7'6" wingspan, which is a little more proportional than those other guys but still just insanely long.
Papa, Skal, WCS, Giles.

Insane length and athleticism.

If Giles knees hold up and WCS continues to solidify his game both ways, this is the most dominant frontcourt in the league in 3 years, on both ends.

I'll just add that Papa is actually fairly nimble for a man his size. He's actually my fave out of the 4.

Pretty soon we are going to have so much talent we won't know what to do with it.

When Harry Giles was a Freshman in HS it appeared that he could pretty much do it all, he's on the extreme end of the early-bloomer spectrum and possesses prototype height and length. He had a handle/face-up game, he had polished post moves/arsenal of hook shots, solid touch around the basket and from distance, he was grabbing tons of boards and blocking tons of shots, his game was super-duper almost unfathomably advanced -- So one of the things he's equipped with is the ability to deal with double-teams, he'sbeen doubled for most of his basketball career, which is a major plus and part of his underlying value IMO.. Thats sorta how those levels of hype came to pass, looking back Anthony Davis was clearly greater, he was much more of a late-bloomer though..

Marvin Bagley, the likely #1 pick in 2019, is an even better prospect than that whole scouting report too, which is scary. I can confidently say he's the best PF prospect I've ever seen in HS, he's the only one approaching Anthony Davis levels(not on defense, Davis is better and betterequipped) anytime soon (at the PF spot).

Also for perspective Ivan Rabb was once rated the #1 recruit in the class one year prior and people were saying all types of crazy things, back about 4 or so years ago. I kinda keep a watchful eye over these types of "phenoms".

Stick with the necessary rehab, it works. Have had both knees replaced and am now better than ever but stuck with the required rehab exactly. No rush now and your in good hands so work to get to where you can be great again. We'll all support you if you put in the dedication and effort.

Shock the world Harry! You are a young man with so many gifts. I can already see you Fox and Skal in the all star game the same year you lead us to the NBA title in 2021/2022 season

I'm not gonna give it any more play than it got on Twitter before he deleted it. It was made a long time ago, and it was a typical comment about Sacramento not exactly being a premiere destination for players.

EDIT: I added it since Carmichael Dave has shared it on Twitter and Facebook. Note the date.
Lol. I wish I didn't see that :)

But the talent is worth the risk at 20.

You have to pay them :) you can only have so many good players, if your planning to pay Fox/Hield/Skal/Jackson, the bench etc, eventually

I mean Skal balled out as a rookie and got drafted at 28, it takes time to develop big men, even the best of them. Giles already has good defensive instincts and will be a good defensive player right off the bat due to his size agility and instincts.

Me too. But probably not as bad as he wishes he didn't tweet it
He's apologized for something he said three years ago. It seems pretty obvious he's very happy to be here and I predict he's going to become a fan favorite.

Welcome to Sacramento, Harry. You're gonna like us.

The more I think about it, the more I'm sure this is a great landing spot for him to stage his comeback. He can sorta be tucked away here til he's ready, a low-pressure environment is best for him, it's not even the location, he's the 3rd 1st rd pick from this draft, if he landed in some low-pressure environment but was the only 1st rd pick it'd be different.

He's great kid too and always smiling. He's had immense, almost unfathomable expectations placed upon his shoulders from such an early age and for him to have the string of injuries (and the attention thats surrounded them) after all that frankly sucks, but he's taken it in stride. That reporter needling him about his injuries at the introductory press conference is so cringworthy, what was she thinking, all those questions have been answered/aired out 100x over already..

I was miffed at the tweet till I saw where he pointed out that he tweeted that when he was like 15/16 years old! We're talking about a tweet by a kid lol. Nothing to get hung about.
