Your top ten

#1
We have two picks in the top ten, wondering what everyone's boards look like? Mine changes daily, here's where I'm at at the moment:

1. Jackson
2. Fultz
3. Tatum
4. Fox
5. Dsj
6. Ball
7. Isaac
8. Mitchell
9. Monk
10. OG/Collins

I put OG and Collins at ten since I have no way of knowing how og's injury is healing. If he's ahead of schedule I'd take him over Mitchell or Monk based on our glut of shooting guards.

I'm finding it really hard to rank these guys this year. I think I've just been looking at the same group of players for so long now that I'm over-thinking things and doubting myself. I'll try to project where I see them right now though.

1. Markelle Fultz (in a guard driven league, he's the safest pick on the board)
2. Josh Jackson (love his two-way potential and motor, question his decision-making at times on and off the court)
3. De'Aaron Fox (elite speed and quickness, endless motor on defense, likable personality, shooting a big question mark)
4. Jonathan Isaac (the hardest guy for me to place -- tons of potential on defense, too passive to be a star?)
5. Dennis Smith Jr. (all-around PG prospect with flashy athleticism, too selfish?)
6. Lonzo Ball (a magician with the ball, great instincts, needs to work harder on defense and prove he can play through contact)
7. Frank Ntilikina (elite defensive potential, solid jumpshooter, more of a combo guard than NBA starting PG?)
8. Malik Monk (elite run/jump athlete and shooter, undersized for a wing, future sixth man of the year?)
9. OG Anunoby (lots of risky choices in this slot. solid 3 and D potential and would fill a big need, knee injury needs to be checked out)
10. Bam Adebayo (elite physical tools, should be an enforcer inside and a target for lob passes)

What no Jayson Tatum? I don't see any elite skills from him and he's just an average athlete. I had him at 9 then realized that I would rather have Anunoby or Adebayo on my team next year so he got bumped out of my top 10 completely. My hope with the #10 pick is that we either take Ntilikina if he's there or we trade with Detroit to pick up Stanley Johnson and another pick or we trade the pick entirely for a first round pick in next year's draft or we just take OG or Bam.

#10
1. Fultz
2. Fox
3. Jackson
4. Ball
5. Tatum
6. Smith
7. Isaac
8. Ntilikina
9. Monk
10. Collins/markkanen

Fox and Jackson were actually pretty even for me but factoring things outside of basketball plus I think wings are easier to find than pg, gives the edge to fox. Ball I dropped because I'm still scared of the baggage he comes with (lavar) and the fact he might just bolt to LA when his rookie contract is up. After 8 we are reaching for a pg or sf, so I think monk is bpa at 9 and hope in a pinch can run the point. 10 is a toss up for a big we can use but different set of skills so I wouldn't be mad at either if those were the only 2 options available.

Just confirming cuz it's how I did my list. This is a top ten of who you want the kings to draft, not a mock draft of the top ten picks right?

#5 pick:
1. Fultz
2. Ball
3. Fox
4. Tatum
5. Jackson

So far this is equivalent to my overall big board. I seem to be lower on Jackson than most. Think his psychological testing might be an issue and I distrust his shot more than Fox'.

#10 pick:
now it gets interesting. 1-5 is anyone that falls out of my top 5 but after that, mhh. I decided to put trades into it. Right now I'd put it:

6. Issac
7. Smith Jr.
8. Monk
8. Trade down with Portland for #15 or #20 + Harkless, target Anunoby/Evans
9. Trade down with Detroit for #12 + Stanley Johnson, target Donovan Mitchell or whoever falls
10. Depends on pick at 5: If its Fox: Markannen/Collins. If its a SF: Ntilikina/Mitchell

Yeah I'm having the same problem. Not sure what to do with Isaac/Dennis Smith. Both, were in my top 3 throughout the year but now I have bumped them down, trying to read into character. However this is of course nearly impossible without actual psychological testing. So I wouldnt be shocked to see them outperform their slots.

I've done the same thing... Watched a couple of interviews with each of the guys and moved them up or down accordingly. Jackson and Fox stood out the most in interviews for me... Both seem to have great personalities. Mitchell was pretty good too.

Based only on what I've seen:

1. Michael Jordan
2. LeBron James
3. Kobe Bryant
4. Tim Duncan
5. Hakeem Olajuwon
6. Dirk Nowitzki
7. Allen Iverson
8. Shaquille O'Neal
9. John Stockton
10. Kevin Garnett

...Sorry I don't watch college basketball. :p
Wow, no Kareem, wilt, Magic, or Russell? Vivek is that you? Jk...lol.

Reading through expecting to find someone who has my top 10 so that I wouldn't have to post.... no one even has the top 5 the same as me.... Ah well:

1. Fultz
2. Ball
3. Fox
4. Jackson
5. Tatum
6. DSJ
7. Isaac
8. Collins
9. Ntilikina
10. Monk

I keep swapping Fox and Jackson, they're very close in my book. And Tatum, Smith and Isaac are the three that give me a real headache. All very different players, with different positives and negatives and I really struggle to pick who's the best of the three. I think it will come down to which team they go to and whether they're in the right place to progress.

Seems like most everyone has ntlinka instead of Mitchell in their top ten. Maybe cause ntlinka is supposed to be more of a point guard than Michell? From what I understand there's questions about ntlinkas pg skills as well. Defensively I'm going Michell. Offensively both guys have question marks but Mitchell has superior strength and athleticism... I'm not seeing it with Frank N.

My top 10 draft Big Board is currently:

8. Markannen
9. Isaac
10. French Frank

Whoops just read through the thread and realize that this is supposed to be a big board of who I want the Kings to draft. It doesn't change my list a lot but it does change it.

Kings draft board
1. Fultz
2. Ball
3. Fox
4. Tatum
5. Jackson
6. Smith
7. French Frank
8. Zach Collins
9. Markannen
10. Monk (Purely based on BPA, not fit)

#30
1. Issac
2. Jackson
3. Monk
4. Fultz
5. Dennis Smith Jr.
6. Ball
7. Fox
8. Tatum
9. Mitchell
10. Ntilikina

A little different from most. This draft is going to be great to analyze in 3-4 years so many guys close to each other in talent level.
