I don't want to call it a fear but I like Ben and can easily see him getting his act together on a decent team. I hate the idea of giving up on any of our young SG's to make room for Bogdan.
Side thought: If they do replace Vlade, I'm betting there is NO chance Bogdan comes to the Kings.

I'm totally with you. It's not like McBen is old or a finished product. He's less than a year older than Hield. I still think he'll become a solid player, and having a real coach for more than a season is step one towards making him a real player.

Though seeing him on the Spurs and growing up on a winning team is something I wouldn't mind seeing. I'm always gonna pull for McBen.

Probably not the best thread for this discussion, but I too think he can be useful on a good team, where he has a good structure. Spurs have a history of taking such cast offs and turning them into useful players. As of now, they really need help at 2. Green is having an awful year, Manu is 39, and might retire. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick Ben, or someone like him. Young, athletic, hard working, has spent a few years in the league, but not carved a niche. They can probably get him for a very reasonable price, and he might be able to help them. Do wish him the best though.

And it's not even about Bogdan. When we traded DMC, we clearly identified Hield as our SG of the future. Plus, we have Temple and Malachi. There is just no room for Ben or Afflalo, or even Reke (though, theoretically, he can play 1, 2, or 3). The best we can hope for is that we get something in return for them.

Ingles shouldn't be shutting down Buddy, Grant

Buddy is a good piece, but he has to work on impacting games for 48 minutes. It comes and goes in stretches for him as a rookie

They had a discussion after the last game and it was made clear that Papa G.'s name is NOT George. Kayte said she asked him point blank and he said the correct pronunciation of his name is "Yorgos" and that's what he'd like to be called. Somebody needs to get the message to Grant.

I got a response from Grant.

He's told everyone to call him George so I'm obeying his wish

Since Kayte taught both Doug and Koz how to say "Yorgos" at the end of the post-game from Monday, I'm wondering if Grant just didn't want to admit he was wrong? #PapaG

I know the game is a blowout and Grant and Jerry are just chit-chatting but he is tweeting during the game?

I really fear that the Spurs will sign him to a cheap contract, and he shall become a solid, two way player on a contending team, causing whole lot of misery for all of us.
there won't be much misery, the Kings aren't winning anytime soon so it's all moot whether he prospers elsewhere remains to be seen.

UPDATE: I just asked Kayte for clarification. We need to know these things. :p

Side note about names...

Earlier today I saw Willie, so I yelled out "What's up, Swiffer?" He got a kick out of it.
