[Game] Kings @ Warriors - 3/24/17 - 7:30PT/10:30ET

Need to see a little more from Papa, but kid is 19 and showing a variety of stuff
I'm impressed we're seeing anything at all. Seems to be handling 20+ MPG decently well, something I would have laughed at during SL. And he's still incredibly raw, but you definitely see the makings of an NBA rotational player at the very least. It's up to him to keep working on his body to keep progressing.

Considering Barnes and the Warriors wanted to kill us and we played pretty ugly at times, we came out of it looking pretty good. Some terrible looking turn overs on our part. W's where like +36 on turnovers. But they needed Curry to come in to finish the game. The Warriors might not be "all that" if they did not have him. Our rookies are learning and shine at times while looking like rookies too. I see a lot of hope for the future. I hope our picks this year turn out well.

"Respect for the game"?
People that have spent a lot of time in the gym know what I mean. You don't mock other players. You don't call cheap fouls and you don't hurt people by submarining them when they are in the air. Play hard but play clean. Respect for the game Man. Ask any gym rat. G State does not have any.

I saw it as having no respect for the Kings, not the game, because they know they can beat the this current Kings team while half asleep. Hopefully sooner than later we will have a team on the floor that demands that respect.

Well, I was a three-sport athlete in high school (not big [fast in the case of track] enough to make the team in college), and a staple of my commands' basketball teams while I was on active duty... but I guess that probably doesn't qualify as "spent a lot of time in the gym." :(

Bam bam flooring Draymond with the LEGAL pick was the play of the night. everything else is gravy.

VF21 you are right in that the GSW spent a lot of time gloating during this game. It is going to make revenge soooo much sweeter when it comes around.
Just curious: when revenge finally "came around" for the Kings versus the lakers, how sweet did you find it to be?

Unfortunately that won't happen until Klay/Steph/Dray/KD are gone. The Warriors are so far ahead of us; no matter how well we draft we won't catch them.

And by then... who cares. It's a completely different team than the one we hated.

This logic doesn't seem to apply to the Lakers

Although I still relish the little victories. Any loss by the Lakers is good. Watching their rebuild sputter. Watching the bickering going on between the Buss siblings.

The horror would be if DMC landed there to complete his HOF career:eek:

True, assuming good health, no contract/money disputes, no personality clashes they should maintain their control of the Western Conference. But say if Durant coming back is delayed GSW is ripe for the Spurs to take them out in the WCF. There is also the question of Kerr's back. Can he handle the marathon season in season out? We will see.

Also if the Kings score a hit with one of the picks in this upcoming draft then things could get interesting. I would love to see the Kings become a defensive power under Joerger. long and fast players at PG and SF would go far in achieving that. If the the Kings score two hits in the upcoming draft.......

There are almost no tough players or coaches anymore these days.

When Steph was out there dribbling around and showboating using Muhammad Ali footwork, that would have been the perfect time for someone to go out there and whack him. Make a play on the ball so it's not a flagrant 2 but make sure the rest of your arm catches him and knocks him on his ass. If they don't like it they can either play respectable or continue to get knocked around until they do. We were going to lose the game anyway so you might as well lose while demanding some respect out there.

Sadly, those days are long gone in this neutered league we call the NBA.

And it's not like he's going up against a physical team either. Rebounding is the limiting condition of WCS, period.
It's why in roughly 4 games of action I've grown to like Papa's game more than his.

I've said this before, but for every Denver game or near 5X5 he has a bunch of duds. Gotta get somewhat consistent, and I think that involves him focusing solely on rebounding and defense and letting the offense come to him.

Unfortunatly I have no grand hopes for next season. Even if we score on both picks, I see the absolute best case scenario is we get TWolves talent... and look at them now? We're a few seasons off.

We had that player. He didn't fit our "culture" as our idiot commentator screamed about it on his radio show and corrupted the fan base into thinking it was "bad."

warriors have little quirks that I dislike. Triumphant hand raises after made threes. Even unnecessary rub it in threes. Curry's mouthpiece gimmick and of course Draymond is a player and face only a mother and a homer fan base can love...but at the end of the day, they have fun playing the game and their theatrics only annoy me when it's the Kings getting pummeled by them.

Hear, hear! I'm not here for any of this "respect for the game" stuff. If you don't want the other team to stunt on you, play defense.
