Willie Cauley-Stein

I was always on the Willie Wagon, even when people were done with him and wanted him traded this year. That draft class will end up being one hell of a class for bigs. KAT, Porzingis, Willie, Turner, Jokic. Even guys like Kaminsky and Okafor can still have solid careers.

Willie has always been a supreme talent. Anyone that has ever watched him practice knows that his offensive game was much more developed than what he showed in game. A big reason for that is that he was brought in to be a defensive specialist only so that affected his confidence when it came to offensive decision making, which is a huge reason I believe for why he looked so lost when ever anyone passed him the ball. I still think he will never be a top 2-3 option, but a guy with WCS insane athleticism and any kind of offensive game is a huge, huge win in this league.

Freak of nature, looks like Kevin Garnett out there. 7 Footer who can run the floor with a 40 inch vertical. Looks pretty good offensively for a second year player.

Me too. While I admit I was frustrated with him earlier this season, I've always believed he is a unique talent that could be come a good offensive player. I lobbied to draft him and defended Willie from the beginning against the quick trigger Summer League folk that always want to write players off when they don't impress right out of the gate. I didn't think it would take as long this season to see what we're now starting to see, but better late than never.

I never saw that offense at Kentucky. He has vastly improved in his time with Joerger.
I said this before and I'll say again that Joerger has done Willie, Ben and each of the current rookies a favor by keeping them on the bench, rather than gift them playing time just because they're lottery/1st round picks. It's made them much more hungry, aggressive and eager to prove themselves. By limiting their time early on, they had to learn how to bring maximum energy and effort on a consistent basis so that they continued to get a call from the coach game after game. Both Ben and Willie look like they've been struck by lighting.

If you watch WCS post game interview, from his words and body language, you almost get the sense that he is all good with the DMC traded, almost a sense of relief.

He talked about how everybody is contributing and being able to do their thing now.

I wonder if there was more DMC tension in the locker room than we all knew about?

He sounded pretty happy in the post-trade too. http://www.abc10.com/sports/nba/sac...ousins-trade-competing-for-playoffs/411551157

I'm surprised this wasn't anywhere on here.

Willie and Skal are two of the reasons for hope. Skal will either be a star or a bust. I don't see him being able to just be average. If he turns into what people thought he could be, wow! If either Bogdanovic or Buddy can eventually be a #1 offensive option, we have a nice little core to mold and shape.

I hate that Rudy got hurt and we will get nothing for him. I don't want to resign him.

It is Rudy's option to be a free agent. I suspect with his injury he will stay with the Kings.

I'm hoping for a speedy recovery motivating him to decline his option.

When he shows he can reliably produce in this league.

It was one freaking game, people....
And today was one more game --- against a much more legit defensive squad. Obviously the results were much different. Had this been the 1st game since the Cousins trade, what would people had been saying then?

Big picture, we need to see a lot more games before we really know what's up. But, IMO, what we saw today is what you'll get on a routine basis against a stout team. And that's difficulty scoring. They no longer have that star player to get consistent points from when the going gets rough. That's precisely why I was adament against trading Cousins.

But let's see what happens over the next half dozen games or so.
